You're just too leet for us.

I just pop it off with a knife. Works fine. Lets me know when my keyboard needs a cleaning too~

I play in windows mode all the time. I actually use the windows key for different functions as well.

First, I got more crap on screen when I ran in window mode, such as toolbar text bubbles and email notifications. It made switching to browser (necessary for those horrible prolonged raid recoveries) faster on the old computer, though.

Even then, getting focus on start menu was still pretty annoying and took away precious seconds. Seriously, there is no need for what windows keys do by default. Even CapsLock is a bit more useful as you can mock the ALL CAPS retards easier.

Play in Full Screen mode with the Windowed Mode box checked also. You wont get incoming email notifications, wont see a start bar, ect. Also when you hit the windows key in this mode all it does is pop the start bar in on your screen and all it takes is one click anywhere in your WoW screen to get rid of it again.

Works fine for me anyway!

I just love people making excuses for it. If you have to make a registry key to disable it, and that is considered fine, there is a problem. Prying it out with a knife is a much better solution. For one it's permanent, no amount of reformats will get that key working again. But it is reversable...just pop the key back on~

Or if you're not fucking retarded you can use it for it's many, varied, useful uses and not worry about 'accidentally' hitting it in your keyboard spasms.

How hard is it to avoid hitting the button?

Never been a problem for me to avoid the Windows key, and I actually use it fairly often. I don't like a lot of shortcuts on my desktop and I'm not a fan of the QuickLaunch bar either, so I've taken to putting most of my shortcuts in the customizable area of the start menu. It's actually pretty handy to be able to hit the Windows key while playing an MMO or whatever and have access to all my stuff (Firefox, Winamp, Photoshop, Notepad, other mmos, etc).

I guess if all you use a PC for is playing WoW and jerking off to hentai it may be useless to you.

Me? I live by windows key + R, L, E and M.
