It's 2008 guys, time to get quiet keys.
Hell no, WTB those old 30lb IBM model M buckling spring keyboards.

Nothing matches to that shit. I type almost twice as fast on those, too bad I haven't used them in years.

You will look so edgy without having a windows key!! So cool!

Seriously does having one extra key really screw you up?

I would hate to see you on a laptop that has a Function key!!!!111!!ONE!!!

You can hack and disable the key in regedit I think? I remember doing it years ago.

Left Windows key is between Ctrl and Alt. Both are widely used by classes that need to press more than 5-10 ability/spell buttons and by people that use Clique. If you miss them and press Windows key by accident, you're effectively AFK for a few seconds while you get switched to desktop and then back. While this was a non-issue in the other game in the subject, it usually leads to your death, raid wipe or a lost match in the other.

Of course, you can disable the key, but why have it in the first place then?

Which is why you run the game in windowed mode. When EQW first came out for EQ, I have yet to play an MMO in fullscreen since. Not having to wait for things to minimize, or even worse things CAUSING the game to minimize, is too good to not have. Nothing worse than forgetting you left AIM running in the background and someone minimizing your game because they want to know if you've seen the latest dumb YouTube video.

Yep, get a regedit to disable the windows key. Cntrl-Esc will still bring up the start menu.

Sad that the "windows hating", "haxors", "wannabe uber edgy open source" kids don't know how to edit their registry to disable a key and will go so far as to buy a new keyboard that doesn't have a start menu button or won't buy one because it does have one.
