It is already sandbox enough, everyone and their brother can get into the game to some degree.

It is already more than an arena fest, apparently you have never raided. While I agree, player housing and Hero characters should be added, they should be added with a level increase.

You just don't know the demographic of most WOW players. They want combat, they want to kill stuff and they want different ways to do it in as many different places as possible.

Diplomacy? Really? WOW already has a stupid card game, why would they want to make another retarded one?

I side with the b.net kiddies over the whiny old twats who think they can do the job of dozens all by themselves. At least they know what they're playing.

Is this really a thread complaining that a fucking MMORPG increases numbers to signify an increase in numbers, and that your numbers have to be greater than your enemies ever-increasing numbers to be victorious, and should not be the only way of increasing your numbers?

Really?

WoW has you all beat like whipped dogs, if you think that there's going to be anything more or less than another from zero to maximum progression with the next "reset the game" expansion.

To answer the meta-question presented, you cannot replace progression in a game with something and still have progression. Please save your half-baked, "it works in LARPS" yelling lightning bolt game design theory of gaining progression because you lent your friend's morbidly obese maiden your stargate dvds.

There's what gets however many million people playing MMORPGS, and then there's what you splurt out on this forum after one-too-many Bawls.

The only thing worth discussing on your list is player/guild housing. I want to decorate my house with glaives.

and Blizzard needs to get a WoW TCG interface in-game.

Magic: The Gathering Online has the best business model ever. They charge full price for absolutely nothing. You buy starter decks and booster packs to play in sealed drafts/leagues/tournaments and it is god damned addictive. It is fuckin' $$$, and has probably cost me over $500.

An interface that would allow you to play online, buy online, compete online with the WOW card game would make them an unbelievable amount of money.

Yeah, then every few months ban a fuck ton of cards from tourney play, forcing you to buy new shit/reconfig your deck.

The best business model? If they switched to a monthly fee with a model for additional small charges they would have had an absolutely gigantic player base but instead they had to choose to protect physical cards and therefore charge more per pack than I would ever have to pay from a distributor.

I would run out and buy a new MTG computer game for 49.99 right fucking now if I could. I would seriously get in my car this second and drive to Best Buy. The old one was awesome.

QFT....MTG online fucking killed my wallet..I have two accounts(easier to trade) Spent a good $800 or so on each account. Like 4-11 bucks at a time haha the combos I had was just insane. I stopped because they changed a lot of the rules as to what was aloud in a Standard deck when they re-released ninth addition...fucking 6/6 gorrillas with regen is pretty fucked at times.

Wait a second - EQ2 put in a card game, people bitched.

Now you want a card game in WoW, with the same "pay per pack" model that EQ2 uses?

What the fuck.

Took the words straight out of my mouth heh.

Remember: If SoE does it, its stupid, and dumb. If Blizzard does the same thing, its cock slurping time.

Kinda silly really. Bottom line, card game with in-game interaction is a neat/good idea and revenue generator no matter who does it.

wow already has a fully functional card game. what they want is a way to interact it within the game. simplest way is add a card in booster packs / starter decks with a code, said code redeems a booster pack / starter deck in game.
