| Quote: Honestly I don't think WWS is too reliable at all. I could pull up parses that could simultaneously be used to show Mages are awesome AND that Mages suck, having a 2800 DPS Mage and a 1900 DPS Mage in the same parse. Also what seems to happen a lot is there's one Mage that's somehow 500-800 DPS ahead of the other 2-3 Mages in the guild. How this happens really baffles me.

| every one of those high mage wws is a parsing error, its easy to check - go into the details of the mages, click on the fireball ability, then click + to expand all. For the ones that somehow magically floated to the top, the number of crits is higher than the number of actual hits. everyone else, including other classes, has # of crits less than number of hits. Of course perhaps they are running a magic wow client that lets you crit more than 100% of the time, and your character also exists in some parallel universe doing extra damage that wws catches. Probably those WWS parses are merged from multiple people and have bugged data or something. Its also possible to purposefully inflate your own WWS numbers if you submit your logs for merging, and only someone digging in would catch you. |

| Guys I have to ask a question of morals here, I think I did something terrible. A long time ago, I raided on a warrior. We got into Naxx before TBC and then I quit the character for the time being. I ended up, after being harassed, giving this character to an in-game friend under the stipulation that I may want him back one day. Well, fast forward a couple years and here we are now. I've asked him a few times if I can have the character back but he always says "I use it still to raid with." That would be fine, except he's wearing all TBC greens and BWL epics. So after being frustrated that he blatantly ignores me when I ask for my character, I decide to do something awful. I notice the account is still linked to my email address as well as I know the security question still. So, I took the account back. I'm going to cancel his billing now, since I'm almost positive he doesn't play. But I feel like an awful human being here. Give me negative internets if you want, but am I a terrible person? |

+4 Internets | If that part of the story is correct, then you're within your rights. Your "friend" didn't even pay you for the account, so why should he get to keep it? Whatever he paid in subscription costs was for his own benefit and any time spent while technically valuable, could and should have been spent on his own character/account.

The only explanation I can give for your results is the low DPS Mage is keeping up Scorch for the high DPS Mage by himself, allowing the high DPS Mage to cast nothing but Fireball. If that's the case, then the Mage's actual DPS isn't as high as claimed, as someone else had to reduce theirs to get it to that point. A solo moonkin would have to weave in a Moonfire every ~15 sec which might drop the DPS. As an aside, how the hell do Mages maintain their mana pools when they stack this much spell haste in talent builds that give them ZERO mana regen while casting?

| It's your account; don't worry about it, but change all the info. Anyhow. I have a question! I currently play a T6-level Resto Shaman, have a ~T5 level geared Warlock, and am leveling a Horde Hunter (at 60 now). All on my current server, Cenarius. I miss being a tank (was a druid for years) and realize that they are the most uncommon element of the PvE 5 man game. I felt like rolling a Pally tank, and I'm going to make it a Blood Elf. What's a decent Horde server for this? I don't want something overpopulated, but I also don't want something new. Cenarius is great for Alliance but lacking on the Horde side. |

| go to wowprogress.com, sort by realm progress, and pick any of the top 10 PVP realms and you'll be fine. Overpopulated is not a bad thing, there aren't really server Q's anymore (afaik) and a strong server in PVE and PVP is good for pugs and economy. On Korgath there is a constant stream of pugs for heroics and kara, gruul, mag, etc. A server in bg9 is also good since you'd be in the top arena battlegroup. For july 4th BBQ weekend some friends came over, 5 of us had started together again in AoC (we mostly play TF2 together) but all of us had quit by last week. Only two of us played WoW and neither us play right now, two of the guys currently play EQ2. I showed the guys the Method Kil'Jaeden video and they were all just blown away, when I said that all raids in WOTLK will be available in 10 man the two EQ2 raiders said they are gonna quit their EQ2 subs and level with us when we resub to WoW. This seems like a pretty good time to resub or reroll, once the WOTLK beta leaks start coming out in a month or two I think you'll see a ton of people rerolling/coming back to get back into the game. |

| world PVP is a joke on every PVP server, you'll get ganked maybe 3-4 times from 1-60. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to ever buy anything from the AH from 1-60 either, you should only be selling stuff, never buying. |
