Hope you haven't been leaving some good druid tanks because of this. Lack of defense on leather tanking items means you either have to fill a bunch of slots with +defense(and sometime non-optimal items), or you can get 2-piece S3, which are compareable to T5 for tanking power, and gets you almost enough resilience that you only need a bit more defense to be uncrittable.

I came back a few weeks ago - and I've been having the time of my life. Leveling up a druid, who is 49 right now. I've been holding off at 49 doing some BGs while my friends catch up to me in level. The new leveling changes really speed up the pace, and it doesn't feel monotonous at all.

It helps that pretty much everyone I know has returned to the game, but man, I haven't had this much fun since leveling up in release. My yearlong break definitely helped - everything feels shiny again. Can't wait to get 70 and start doing arenas and dailies and stuff. =)

Ironically, just about every druid I've run across recently has been Resto. But no, I was referring to warriors in DPS gear with negative defense trying to tank heroics more than anything.

Couple of questions.. i'll start off with the first one.

Karazhan reset timer, how the hell does it work? I joined a PUG kara this week. when i zoned in, said it was scheduled to reset in 22 hours, cool i thought.. i go to raid info, it still says 3 days until reset.. and this kara PUG was about 2 days ago?

it resets every tuesday morning, despite what blizzard's in-game bugs might say.

Before you actually get saved to the instance, it'll say that it resets 24 hours after the first person zoned it. Once you do get saved it should always correctly report the time until the next weekly maintenance.

Should, but doesn't. New bug in 2.4, mildly annoying - only believe the raid info window. Heroics always reset the next morning early (on my server it's 4 am server time), ZA is on a 3 day reset, everything else is every Tuesday.

Except for ZG, which resets whenever it wants.

Okay, I'm new.

What is resilience? Is it only used for PvP?

How should a paladin level? Ret? Prot? Holy?

Resilience is generally a pvp stat. It reduces chance to be crit, damage from crits, damage from dots, and mana burns. Only class that should use it outside of PvP are druid tanks because of the lack of defense on leather tank gear.

No idea about paladin leveling, never done it.

Ret is a safe bet. Prot shines if you can AE farm by pulling decent amount of non-caster mobs. It's less relevant with the exp bonus for 1-60 quests than it used to be, but you'll do "get 20 bear asses" quests much faster with it than with Ret. So it comes down to how well can you organize your leveling.

Also, if you're dead set on running instances while leveling Prot would be better. Tanks are currently the most sought after class for 5 mans and the "lol pala tank" syndrome is gone by now as most have seen the mutitanking awesomeness that is paladin.

PvP Source :: Your #1 Source for Competitive World of Warcraft PvP isn't too bad either if you stay the fuck away from the forums. The articles are pretty good.
