| Concur. Aside from the blood frenzy talent if your raid has worthwhile physical dps, fury is the win. But you can't do much outside of raiding if you are allowed to raid at all due to your threat cap, and many other classes farm more efficiently even with super leet gear. So fury is fucked all around really, but its nice for levelling. |

I am lvling up a shaman now, and someone please tell me it gets better. I am going enhance now (lvl 23 on a new server, so no twinking for me) and just trying to keep a decent weapon equpied and it isn't that great. Each fight takes way too much mana or hp, and totems seem next to useless while leveling. I've heard it gets a lot better at 40 with stormstrike and dual weild. I guess I am basically asking if getting windfury and dual weild will make playing a shaman actually fun, because 1-2 bolts / shocks, lightning shield, auto attack is getting pretty lame. I am probably going to be switching to resto late 60s or def at 70, so I am not really concerned about it keeping my attention beyond that. And I assume they are still in huge demand, and that it won't be changing anytime soon (barring something stupid in WoTLK). I feel a need to heal, and I really don't want to go to my druid on a pve server. | |

| It definitely gets better. My alt is a resto shaman, so I did the level grind not that long ago. Basically, just do weapon/shield with (rockbiter? flametongue? can't remember exactly) until 30, then switch to a 2h w/ windfury. At 40, Dual wield makes things much faster. When you hit outlands, start gearing for Elemental and respec when you get a bit of gear. 60-70 is much faster as elemental. |

| I don't know what you guys are talking about leveling as elemental - I tried this, and it's fucking terrible. You have no pushback resistance so you'll sit there trying to cast LB with something beating on you.. ? And unless you have a shit ton of spellpower or get lucky crits (or burn EM) you're not going to kill it before it gets to you, and if you're using a spellpower weapon, thats 40dps. On the other hand, enhance tears through mobs from 60-70 like a rogue, you don't use your mana to do dmg for the most part since stormstrike and ES are dirt cheap thanks to enhance talents, and you get a free mana bar every 2 minutes even so. I leveled my shaman to 70 enhance, it was ridiculous easy mode. |

| Just hit 70 on my shaman (literally 2 days ago) and did most of 62-70 as elemental, for a change as much as anything. Certain mobs are a pain, stuff that dual wields if it gets close, but for the most part it's not a problem. If you get an add, Stoneclaw and back up. Casters are easy, and most mobs take at most 2 extra LBs once they get to you. In fact if I was willing to burn through mana and work a little on positioning (normal play I would drink maybe once every 20 minutes or so unless I'd screwed up, doing this I would have to drink every 10ish mobs) you can 3xLB, Chain lightning and Shock before you get hit, and a good 60-70% of the time that will be a dead mob. Also, with 20% Lightening Overload and 20% LB crits you'd be unlucky to go more than 2-3 mobs without seeing something. Stuff dies quick, I couldn't say if enhancement was quicker, but I know that no one questing around me was ever killing at a rate much, if any, faster than I was. If I am honest I would say I think enhancement is faster, but not so much that it makes a difference. Both specs are fine to level with, post 60 at least. |

+12 Internets | How fast is getting gold compared to when tbc was first released? Been thinking of getting back into wow and starting fresh with a horde character. The thought of saving up all the gold for mounts is giving me pause though. Heard dallies make gold alot easier then it used to be, how much do you get per turn in? |

| Gold is absurdly easy to obtain. The solid dps classes can do better farming than doing dailies, but I just cannot stand farming. I need the dailies to give me little objectives to fulfill. Dailies generally give between 12 and 18 gold a piece. A few give more, like the dungeon dailies. Many are easy to perform in combination with another one. I have friends who make 1k-3k a day when they "feel" like it. I know this socially inept dude who has like 40,000 gold even after buying epic mounts for his 5 alts. I'm surprised that my server's economy JUST started noticing how ridiculous it was getting. AH prices have been escalating recently. I'd been wondering why it hadn't happened much earlier, but I guess the Sunwell shit finally got people off their asses. |

| Right now, if you level up with skinning you will make a fortune. That is *right now* though, when the Sunwell push ends there might not be as many drum re-roller. Skinning is still probably the best money maker pre-60 though. For reference, on the mid pop server I play on, Rugged leather is going for 25g a stack, and on the high pop server there isn't a stack on the AH for less than 40g, although I have no idea if they sell. A month ago I was selling stacks at 20g each though. I hit 70 with almost 3k gold, although I ran skinning/mining, and I had bought regular and epic mounts at 40 and 60. Gold really shouldn't be a problem. Right now I'm half tempted to go farm rugged leather for the last couple of k I need for an epic flyer. There are people with vast reserves of gold who will buy your crap and let you get rich! On the subject of dailes, you get around 7-12g per turn in, depending on the quest. The new Sunwell isle ones are great because you can run them all quickly, but in reality you're better off saving zones of regular quests and just doing them still. The other outland dalies are spread out that it's debateable as to whether it's worth doing them without an epic flying mount. You don't even need to "save" them as such, as long as you finish a zone completely before you move to the next you'll have at least two full zones of quests to complete at 70. Personally I had all of Blade's Edge (screw that without a flying mount), SMV and about 80% of Netherstorm. |
