Whatever you do, pick a pvp server. PvE servers lag behind everything and are full of mouth breathers. Even if you manage to luck in to a decent PvE server (and again, I really doubt such a thing exists now) you are fucked the moment you want to transfer. You may get ganked all of 10 times on your way to 70. | |

+66 Internets | Just avoid STV during prime time and you should be good. I've leveled a ridiculous number of characters so far and STV and Netherstorm are really the only problem zones. Other then that most people are content to leave you alone. |

| Should we mention the clusterfuck that is Isle of Quel Danas? On my server you practically need to be in a raid group to do the dailies. There were literally 15 horde sitting in that little chokepoint heading to the greengill coast and 10-12 more ganking in the sentry area on the west coast. There is absolutely no reason to be on a "PvP" server aside from higher quality people.. the actual "world pvp" sucks dick. |

| Clearly I know how to get dailies done, just remarking that "OF COURSE YOU SHOULD ROLL ON A PVP SERVER" isn't perfectly sane advice; I'm glad I'm on a pvp server because I think there's more people and better quality people, but all it is really is a "do you wish to be griefed now and then while doing PvE? y/n" server. |

| I went ahead and started us on Kil'Jaeden (PVP) because thats where my 70 is. Wasn't looking for PVE for myself... its my carebear friend I'm worried about. Already she has had an absolute heart attack from porting to Moonglade for the druid quest, going afk somewhere, and getting killed. |

+24 Internets | Well it seems to me when you look at progress sites that most advanced pve guilds actually play on pvp server. So I guess you'd have better quality people, or at least better quality raiders. I guess they might not be better people, then again I don't play to make life-long friends and meet a wife, so I don't really care. |

+2 Internets | World PVP seems to be 9 times out of 10 someone 30 levels over me killing me, or a group of people headed somewhere killing me. With cross server BGs, Arenas and the incredibly weak nature of world PVP, I don't even know why they have PVP servers. Sure it's fun to have someone in S3/S4 drop out of the sky and kill me in a single hit but ah...? 1 to 61/62 is pretty trivial in the old world at least, because there simply isn't anyone there. I've maybe had one or two problems total going 1 to 60 on a PVP server in the last month. Once you get to Outland tho, it's more of a pain in the ass since you're so far behind the curve starting out, and there seems to be an abundance of people who'll kill you probably only because you're such an easy kill. I've levelled a few PVP characters and honestly, I've never known the populations to be any different. The mouthbreathers just work differently on each type, but they're still there. |
