I've had the same experience in mid-60s pugs. Maybe I am the only dps giving half a shit, but I have been dominating "the meters" in every pug so far. I don't expect casters to be able to really compete in the mid-60s, but any self respecting rogue or war with lolwfury should at least be running close to me. Seems like a shitton of people rerolling shamans in this thread heh.

| On my server I've found that unless I am rolling with friends or guildies as an enhance shaman I will not get a group instead of any half decent mage/lock or even hunter. The shaman brings no cc to the table and that's usually what the pug people are looking for, a dps that can cc in some way. It has been my experience that being a guildless enhance shaman looking to get into pug heroics is going to be a whole lot of lfg and not much actual playing. Your mileage may vary. I play on blackhand horde side. |

Major I'm just lucky on shattered hand? I know a lot has to do with how well you play and how much people respect you at the end of the instance. I force every paladin to put salvation on me and I throw up my earth elem and kite a mob around to prevent a wipe. People like the show I think. *Edit Make sure your dropping totems every pull. WF + mana spring + STR is what I do. You'll never run out of mana and they will love you for it.

| Pride Never Die | On my old server Tanaris it's very true unless you're a restro shaman good lucking finding any pugs. Personally I like having a shaman in the group, but a some people won't take them because they have no cc.

| I Self Lord And Master | The no CC thing is less and less of an issue as the general populace gets better geared. The more you outgear (and thus can steamroll an instance) the less need there is for CC. And most people realize how much enhance shamans can increase group dps. |

It can still be hard to find groups, though. I'm actually getting rather tired of trying to find tanks. I just logged out 5 minutes ago after sitting in a group for 20 minutes trying to fill our last spot with a tank, while also seeing in LFG two other groups looking for tanks. This isn't even finding a good tank, just simply a body to hit Taunt once in a while. Edit: yes that is me. Last edited by Jabberwhacky : 06-25-2008 at 01:50 PM.

+1 Internets | The runs that crack me up are when I PUG with my Prot pally and I beat huntards on the DPS meters. How a hunter can't do DPS, when really, they don't do much else, is a serious mystery to me. By far the best PUG players I run across normally are shaman, holy priests, and most mages. I've yet to PUG with a shaman or holy priest who didn't get added as a friend, simply for being really good at their job. Bunch of good mages as well. Have yet to add even one hunter to my friends list, and that's across 4 characters level 60 or higher.

| there will always be the 3 guildies from a good raiding guild who wanna pug an instance for some badges->gems, those are the ones that will take (any) shaman above all else for wf/lust, and their heroic run will last 30-45 minutes. Then there are the 4 ppl who got together in trade chat, and usually are in pvp gear. they will only want a mage for sheep/water. and you don't want to be in their group, cuz it'll take 3 hours, wipe non-stop, spend 5 mins every pull, and usually not make it to the end. |

The paladin tank just requires a fucking ass load of gear. I think the very first thing a paladin tank is supposed to do is grind the fuck out of pvp for some sword. Sigh tanking just really sucks atm.
