+12 Internets | Seems like a good time to ask. Is S2 stuff good enough for a Warrior to tank 5 mans in? It certainly has enough STA and the res should help with the crits but I'd have practically zero other mitigation stats outside of that. My alt Warrior is all s2/s3 and I would like to tank a 5 man every now and then but I sharded all my T3 when I rerolled Pally and I'd rather not farm up a blue tanking set this late into BC. |

+66 Internets | All you ~really~ need is 5% crit reduction and then work your way up from there but honestly, green "of the champion" gear would probably work better overall as you replace it with better shit. Depends on your healer too. I've tanked heroic in my healing gear before with a good enough healer. Oh, and let's not start the retarded pvp vs. pve discussion. Being good at pvp relies 80% on being a resto druid or sub rogue. The remaining 20% is knowing how to not go afk. Being good at PvE just relies on being able to find 9~24 other people who can manage to not be retarded for 5~10 minute bursts. |

| So after getting AoC out of my system a few friends wanted to play wow again. I'm trying to decide between shaman, priest, or rogue for my class. Since I haven't been playing for almost a year, which would be a good choice for a nice fun class to play casually as a reroll? (I know this is a really broad question, but some input would be nice.) |

| Priest, shaman, and rogue are the only classes I never got over level 30 as alts when I played all the time. I'd most likely go shadow on the priest even at 70 if that makes a difference. Atm, I'm leaning toward rogue just because of all the fun tools they have to mess around with. |

| It's hard to say what the more enjoyable class to play is, I guess it's based on what a person wants. I liked playing the rogue because it's different than what I've played in other MMO's, and I'm an evil bastard.. so it's fitting. I only did PvP though, wasn't much interesting in farming raids (or other). |

Head slot: Auchindon. Collect spirit shards and get the Exorcist's Mail helm, it has very good stats, on par with your one, but 30 stamina (and some resilience too). It has also a meta gem slot which you can temporary fill using more spirit shard for +12 spell dmg and slight movement speed increase. Try to do Black Morass (even in normal mode) for Primal surge bracers, not the best ele gear around, but nothing will come close outside heroics or badge gear (and crafted LW bracers are better too). Leggings: there are several choices even in normal mode instances, your best starting pair of pants are Area 52 Defender's Pants - Item - World of Warcraft from a quest reward or else you can get Seer's Mail Leggings - Item - World of Warcraft They are from a blue pvp-oriented set of gear, 5 pieces, requires honored rep with 5 factions for buying the 5 pieces, for shamans there are 3 sets, one for each spec. One set will cost you about 100g. It gives you hp, some mana, mp5, +dmg +crit and it's decent enough to carry you through heroics if you do not have already better stuff. Murmur is SL drops the tidefury kilt, if you feel lucky (normal mode). Last thing: check rep vendors, sometimes they have pieces that can be nice upgrades for a while and some pieces are available at honored rep already. | |
