So im starting up a rogue on a pvp server (Malganis) after leaving my 70 mage and warrior on pve to dust on the shelf. First, Mal'ganis a rough server to level on as horde? Also, do I want to go combat swords for levelling still?

Don't know about Mal'ganis, but I'd still go swords.

I just started a draenei shaman on an RP server, because my wife wanted to play alliance. I'm really dreading the pvp grind at 70 :/

Don't know about Mal'Gannis personally... maybe someone from EJ can say better, but if you go to wowjutsu.com you can look up Horde:Alliance ratios on the server as well as the battlegroup.

HOnestly, if you're going to level on a pvp server, level as a group of people if you can. It's much more fun and you're less likely to get fucked with. People are far less likely to fuck with you if you have 3-5 people. Hell, even with just my three boxing. It's kinda funny watching someone see my latest alt, dismount and start a spell and then they notice my 70 priest/paladin and run away.

I've levelled to 70 before on a pvp server, I love it and barely ever get frustrated.. it's the other guy levelling with me that scares me.

Malganis is not that bad. I recently leveled 1-70 on it (horde side) as a warlock and did not really encounter any sort of pvp except in the usual zones like Hillsbrad and STV. Outlands also was pretty much pvp free until I hit BEM.

Don't plan on buying anything from the AH as starting at around level 8 uncommons are sometimes 5g+. Instance groups were easy to find leveling up and I usually encountered many more horde while leveling up than alliance.

I actually decided to roll on Skullcrusher since it's in the same battlegroup as my mains and it was my original server when the game launched.

Possibly retarded question here. I used to give out food/water in trade back in the day.. so could I trade gold cross-servers this way through battlegrounds?

Mal'ganis is about as horde dominated as servers get.

I leveled up a 70 rogue on Malganis alliance side and if it weren't for stealth it would have been a much worse experience. Outside of STV and 70's ruining lowbies in duskwood it wasn't too bad, although we did get spanked in battlegrounds.

Leveling up a horde rogue should be cake.

What's best trade skills for rogue? I'm primarily interested in pvp.

Also swords best to level with?

For pvp, I'd say enchanting for ring enchants. (I'm assuming you mean arena, if you meant bgs/world then engineering is probably best.)
