I'm just saying that game isnt legit, the dev's there are corrupt and thats the only way my friend has a ranger with a level 44 bow, etc. Game wasn't worth the grind, I couldnt imagine doing it without speed hack and to those that did, GG.
The market there sucks, with speed hacking you can solo anything then decon it into pain crystals and sell for mad money = ez cash = flood market..

Yeah.... except it's not like that anymore. I don't know about speedhacking (because I don't see anyone doing it blatantly), but you don't decon drops for anything anymore.

And the grind you speak of? I see more people complaining about experience gain being too FAST than anything. The only grind these days is for faction at the "high end."

I definitely didnt grind to 50 and this was at release. Plenty of stuff to do as you level up if you're grouped, and lots of solo content for the times you're not.

EDIT: Ok well that's not entirely true, I did grind the last level or so to be sure to be first Disc on the server. But that was purely by choice.

I personally used to speed hack and all that jazz, but I only did it because travel was a BITCH back in the day.

However, with all the revamps, there is no need to hack, I haven't even seen anyone hacking at all this time around.

Lost is stuck in the time period were everything he says was rampant, what he doesn't realize is that most of his issues he is bitching about are either fixed/not rampant/not game breaking anymore.

I envy you if you didn't grind at all to 50 at release. 40-50 was nothing but a pure grind in Jathred's Twist and old APW for me. When I quit, a few weeks after I had hit 50 there was a couple things in(Celos, Greystone, RI?), but it was still pretty bad, and by then there were quite a few 50's.

I mean I guess we kinda grinded at the end there in Nusibe Necropolis. We fucked around in that temple area too for a bit. But mostly we were running around killing nameds, questing in Rahz and exploring stuff.

With a static group it never felt like we had to grind. Raid stuff on the other hand was non existant, not even APW. And it was getting real thin as we hit our late 40's which is why we left.

I was in a static as well, on Shidreth. While having the group made shit waaay more bearable it was still a grind when we did it. Rahz was full of pointless trash mobs, no quests in yet. Nusibe hadn't been updated, most of it was empty as were most of the temples in the area. APW wasn't a raid area yet it was full of trash mobs that liked casting Apothic Touch(Reflect ftw), so it did make it a bit faster. We hit 50 during the first double experience weekend with most of the other big guild static groups. Regardless of all the bullshit though, I still had a shit load of fun. It's been said many times before, but with a group VG really shines.

Looking at the game now, it's really come a long way. It feels like I'm playing a whole new game with all the shit thats been added. I can't wait to get back up to the 40's to experience all the content I had missed out on for going too fast.

Between Greystone, Xenn, tricksters, Nubisile, and later RI, the Swamp armor, and ToT, I think that the 40-50 has plenty to do. The problem is that a lot of that stuff was geared towards a slower leveling curve meaning it's going to feel pretty grindish relative to current xp rates. A few weeks in RI wouldn't have seemed like much back when it was supposed to take you months and months to get to 50. I wonder if they ever plan on aligning the grind time for these places with the new xp curve like they did with the Wardship Armor.
