| 1 more thing If coming back to Vanguard or been back and didnt know about this. Vanguard UI is still ASS take this Link and download 1 of the Custom UI's. VGInterface You wont be sorry if do, they do patches for UI every vanguard patch pretty fast. Personally most Agree best 2 Custom UI are Core UI or Drox UI. Personally I love Core UI little more have used Drox both of Creators keep them updated all the time. Core UI has alot same stuff Drox has but Core UI has Built in Vanguard Info Maps built into it, so can see were the Rifts are in game , not be at Rift and other places on the Map with Core Ui-Info Map built into it. Also Core UI has button for Emotes click that emote button then get bunch pages under it friendly etc then under that Greet, Bow,Cheer, etc. |

| 1 Last thing the game More then Gives you that Old Eq Feeling now . Yes you can solo much easier now their places if have career, family, school any of above or some can get stuff done in groups or soloing or raiding depending on time and playstyle but can solo if prefer to. But where game shines is dungeons grouping get some guild groups or find good guild to join, when come back to game after long break or if newbie find good guild to join, add friends to your friends list of good players before you know it geting groups for your alts and mains and raiding be easy. |

| I have a shitty ass computer and i can fun VG fairly well now. I play on medium settings. I kind of have to as i am the main tank of the guild. I cant afford for the framerate to get fucked while i am playing. So far there is only 2 raid mobs that lag me out. Shylosia and Sillisasuarus. A fuckton of adds spawn during them encounters and sometimes it hurts. I also have quite a few buds that started playing lately and even some old folks from my EQ server bertox have been popping up. I hear they are working on the new raid zone with guilds beta testing it. Supposedly fishing and the big ass boats Galleons or someshit are supposed to come out with GU5 as well. |

| ok Hmm, i'm not sure if it's mods or ignore , but this thread almost seems ok, if not a touch sucky. I've always enjoyed vg , got in with the 2.5 haul. I didn't do wow, i went eq 99-04 , kids , working back in. I'm priviliged to play with a great 'small' guild (we just make or break the current 18 limit). Being aussie helps, we do't have to show you guys up ) I am getting a lot of satisfaction out of the whole tight knit bunch routine atm. Joining together as a bunch o peeps from all sides(of oz) , co-ordinating & executing strats to beat ye olde virtual mob is my gaming nivana ! I'm havin' fun. Shin come back )

+1 Internets | Update your UI files! I was playing with an old version of Drox and everything seemed to be working just fine. I was running around looking for shards so I could use the Riftway system because thats what the googled stuff told me I needed and each rift way didn't do shit when I clicked on them so I figured they wouldn't work without the shards. Well have several hours of running around (Trying different stones and checking with my home base to see if there was a quest) I finally broke down and asked in chat where the fucking shards were. Needless to say I had a slight feeling of, well ... stupid. Update your UI.

| I downloaded CoreUI3 or whatever one that was and I don't really like it. It feels really cluttered even when I take off a lot of the stuff. Is Drox better in this regards? I'm running at 1440x900 on a widescreen monitor and it still just felt cluttered running CoreUI3. I also made a cleric last night and actually enjoyed levelling it up to 6 so far. Obviously the class will change, but it was really enjoyable and I felt untouchable even by the 3 dot names I was killing. Still think I might play my necro as my main though. I made a few other classes and Necro was the one that seemed to click for me. Hope I'm not disappointed by them. What level will I start to see that grouping is essential to levelling up? I've only gotten up to like 12 max in this game before and didn't really group. |

| I've always been with BoW in every game. I left shortly after temple of whatever. Everyone that was in the guild originally dropped out or stopped logging in. I wonder who is holding the flag now. I have thoughts of trying it again, but I dont know if I'd pick up my 50 DK or start a bard. The lack of developer support on this really makes me sad, but I understand why. I wonder how many people would go back if they really started putting work into it? Much like others I am tempted to resub... not quite though |

| A couple of months maybe? Depends on whether or not you have access to the veteran reward exp potions. Also on whether you try to grind it out solo like a noob or group up to fly through the exp. |

Now you say everyone can solo? That's WoW to us. So now if someone were to pick up Vanguard, would they actually get a chance to get this feeling back, get GROUPS again? Or would it be more like trying to in WoW, shouting for groups all day while soloing xp bar after xp bar, only to be met with silence because everyone is 70 anyways and all the newb zones are dead? How many expansions are out for this by now?

| The difference between WoW and VG is soloing is faster exp in WoW; it's slower exp in VG. I see plenty of groups forming in regional chat at various levels and especially in the "hubs." These are areas with a large dungeon, long quest chains, with great loot rewards. There are several of these areas and they pretty much require grouping. So no, if you want to form / join a group in VG any time after level 15 you will be able to, you'll get better loot, and you'll get faster exp. |

That was 6 weeks playing anywhere from 4-6 hours a night, but that wasn't straight through playing every single night either. I've had a few people come back to my guild from eq1 and they hit level 20 in 2-3 nights. If you're capable of being social enough to get into groups you'll be fine. Really I don't see an expansion or another raid zone coming out anytime soon so it's a good time to try it out and you won't be too far behind. Worst case is you decide you don't like it and you'll be ready for AoC/Wotlk/War in May+.
