Any idea what you'll be Lowk? Trying to figure out if we've got a healer or not, if we don't I'll roll a Cleric. If we do, I'm going Rogue.

I am up to the idea of playing a healer; I haven't ever really dabbled in the healer classes before. I think i am going to skip school tomorrow, so I'm gonna spend some time looking at infoz right now and try to figure out what i wanna play.


The vanguard wiki would be a good place to start for class information right?

Seems like a decent place for info, yeah. I have no idea what other fansites there are though, could be better ones out there.

Any of you experienced VGers have a starting area preference? Ie. would it be worth moving from one racial starting area to another for a better experience?

For some vague reason, (I hardly follow Vanguard news) I recalled blood mages being heavily nerfed recently. Was that memory correct at all?

They had to be tweaked for raids. Im not aware of any nerfs besides the raid nerfs.

Instead of balancing the content around the players capabilities, they nerfed all healers, and then blood mages were specifically singled out and given some extra ability nerfs.

The inital nerfs were worth the grief Avair got, the nerfs that went live, not so much. Although that doesn't change the fact the guy is still a burnout who can barely count to 10.

To sum it up, its not worth factoring into whether you should play a bloodmage or not. After you play a bloodmage you won't be able to see yourself playing any other healer.

Id like to see necromancer healers like the blood mage adapted into future MMOs where appropriate.

Tons of classes had to be tweaked for raids. All 3 tank classes were.

Alright, after looking around and messing with stuff in game, I think I'm actually going to go Dread Knight. Still good groupability while also maintaining some solo power as well.

Look for me as 'Myrix' in game. Dark Elf so I'm in the Hathor Zhi area atm (which seems pretty gay so far), not sure how to get to other areas.

So how does it work with pve servers? can you still group with anyone you want, regardless of race?
