[VG] The Current State of Vanguard

Im playing a ranger (Devicious) with Aria and im having tons of fun.

I have never played a rnager before so I dont really care about how good they were prior to the nerf, to me, they are still fun to play, at least at level 10 lol.

Anyway, Everyone who wants to, get to the Xeth server and hit us up.

We got into the guild Paradigm, it is ran by a husband and wife i think and they are pretty cool. The guild is about 3 months old I think they said, also all of them have been pretty helpful too.

They plan on leveling up and whatnot to start raiding in the next few months.

Something new I noticed is they added a NO-XP buff that you can cast so as long as you are within 5 levels of one another balancing everyones levels is pretty easy.

Also, me and Aria are in a brotherhood so we are sharing XP at all times. i think you are able to have 6 people in a brotherhood. Having more than two people in a brother hood, in my opinion, is only viable if everyone plays a decent amount. So if anyone wants to join the BH and plays a decent amount hit us up and we can discuss.

Okay. levelling up a DK to 11 to see how he compares to my shaman, then I'll decide....Or should I go paladin, for their healing side?

I just know I wanna try a tank character to 10ish..heh.

I would say Dk if you wanna roll with us, Aria has a Blood mage for heals, but do whatever you like best!

AFAIK we are going to play playing in the evenings, eastern time zone if you play around then often.

The issue with ranger is mostly in raids, because of the lack of desagroing tools, and that bow is considered mele.
They have less dps than some type of monks and rog but at same time build 2 times the agro.
Hopefully they are working on these issues soon.

Like i said, like to heal and melee. =P Paladins are hotness from what i remember, heh. Going to get 'em both to 10 I suppose, see which I like more.

If they fixed most of the problems, they should do a re-launch.

I forget who from this board, but they have like a 14 druid or something thats going with us as well, bard would be sweet too!

My lvl 22 bard is on Seradon, curse you all for rolling on Xeth :P I joined a new guild that had just formed and we've actually been gaining a new member or two a day.. Upto about 10-12 I think last time I looked.

I will say the game has gotten amazingly fun from when I played in beta, not to mention the bard class just freakin rocks. Anyway if anyone is rolling up on Seradon, and need of a guild or some help with things let me know. My bard's name is Aomi.

PM me if you can get the game installed on your computer--I got a trail key if so.

As far as evenings eastern--I do a lot of the nights, but have night classes monday/tuesday/thursday.

AWW big not going to play EQ after all? Sucks, ah well I will reinstall Vanguard if AoC sucks balls I think. The classes/combat in Vanguard are just way to awesome to not play it every so often. My Goblin Bloodmage will see combat again soon I am sure. Goblin to me seemed to be the only race suitable for the class for some reason. When I stopped playing the second time I never saw another Goblin..which is wierd cause their racial ability is top notch for support.

All my characters are on Seradon, 46 Sorcerer, 45 Ranger and 36 warrior, the two 40's characters have the shadowhound mount so leaving those behind might be hard but then again rolling a new class on Xeth does have its appeal.

I may re-activate my account once I come back off my holiday the week after next and give you guys a shout.

If you have a Ranger that knows wtf he or she is doing they should be able to watch their aggro. We did Exalted-99 lastnight and thats a straight dps burn fight. You kill him before his timer runs out. Not one point did i lose aggro during that fight. Like i said, that fight you gotta goo balls to the wall, but during trash clearing i do sometimes have problems with rangers and druids. lol

<3 the shaman, thats all I can say. got a DK up to 7 though, and he's amazing fun. Paladin's already boreing.
