I don't understand the level 13 cap for the open beta. Multiple closed beta testers have said that there is tons of content that needs to be more thoroughly tested through the various level ranges, as the current amount of testers is pretty small, and we're coming up on release here. It's good, I guess, that they want the beginning of the game extremely polished (Listened to everyone screaming about Vanguard and missing that 'hook'?), but I'm wondering if the rest of the content isn't going to suffer from the lack of attention.

Yeah, I was certainly under the impression that the current beta felt pretty empty, particularly around the higher levels. Friend of mine was saying it's easy enough to solo up the 80, but then when you get there, most people seem to have decided to either reroll another class and level it, or quit playing, and there's barely anyone around to test high level pvp/pve content.

according to beta testers 1-13 are the most polished levels and there is a massive quality drop after that level. as funcom is a bunch of liars and scammers it makes sense. Every time they spread their lies in interviews I wish I didnt preorder

As to why theres not lots of 80s, theres really not alot to do at 80, raid content is tested seperately by people who were auto leveled and the city building isnt available. | |

Theres nothing magical about 13, you can finish the main destiny (1-20 storyline quest) series at 12,13, 15, 17, w/e (actually I think part2 picks up at 15 but the main story w/ the volcano is doable at 13). There are tons and tons of day quests that take you from 13-20 as well so its kind of a weird number to pick for them. A fast person can do it in 5 hours, a slow person will probably take 10-12 hours. BTW totally disagree that 1-20 is as polished as wow, no way. WoW 1.0 had what, 6 starting zones with enough quests to take you through, quality was uneven (alliance was way better than horde... fuck you barrens), but even still way more content than AoC and much better rythm and pace. WoW TBC added four new giant zones for 1-20 (2 on each side) that were very, very good and far surpass AoC starting zone. AOC has one single path 1-20, the destiny quests are slightly varied for each class but the rest of the quests are all the same. I can see how they don't want people to finish the best part of their game atm and then replay it again when it launches, since it'll be pretty much the exact same thing. Fetching pict bones and grapefruit can only be interesting so many times...
