Log in to the Comcast management screen and click on Manage Game Invasion access. You have to have the highest tier of speed w/ Comcast I think to get access to game invasion.

True, but I considered that under 3).

That's how I got my IGN account as well.. and only the primary account holder can get it, not the secondary comcast accounts. So it's only 1, not 6.

Nope, all 6 accounts can get it. I hooked up a bunch of my friends with free accounts that way.

Ah, it does work. Had to funk with the logins and stuff but there it is.

DL took me 5 hours, but I used GetRight to dl from all the mirrors and capped out my connection.

So, for those of us with jobs (or too damn lazy to read back five pages, or short attention spans), what's the current way you're all getting beta keys again, please? And is anybody actually DL'ing the whole client, patching up and playing the game? From these last couple of pages, it sounds like everybody is comparing DL experiences and aren't even in the game yet.

If anybody is actually playing, maybe one of you could tell me if healers are actually entertaining to play or nothing more than free insta-gibs to any melee characters. Do they have any sort of CC/survival tools, like AE fear, temporary immunity, insta-self-heals, etc.?

Ok guys being in both BETAs and finally both working for me all I will say is AOC >>>>> WAR just in terms of gameplay alone, let alone world/zone design.

If you are not already in the closed beta, you can get in via the Fileplanet open beta that will start on May 1. You have to be a subscriber to fileplanet or indirectly become a fileplanet member via Comcast cable. You can download a 12GB base client that must be patched before you can enter the game.

You can not patch the client yet because the patch server is down. You will receive the following error when you try to patch:

Fatal Error: Failed to download patch information file.

The open beta everyone is referencing doesn't even begin until May 1st or 2nd. They are letting out the Beta Keys in waves to keep download speeds high.

Healers have a ton of abilties, and are much more multi-faceted than in previous MMOs. Bear Shaman is more melee based, and the other two are more caster based.

Ok I have a question, not sure if its been asked or not. If you were in the technical/closed beta could you use the client from that and patch it up on May 1st, to be compliant with open beta. Or do I have to download the client from fileplanet and use that to patch on May 1st? To me, I'm like how many files could they have changed from the tech/closed beta that would require a WHOLE new client? In the optimal situation the patch server would just download the files that you are missing and continue on to the patch released for OB launch.
