It was in an email from Fileplanet that I received today around 2:57 today explaining how some people aren't receiving their emails...?. I had already managed to snag a beta spot, but I guess it was the thought that counts.

Let us not forget, that the client downloads like old people fuck. My client should be ready to go about the time the first expansion comes out.

All kidding aside, it looks like they opened up a lot of beta keys today, everyone I've talked to that got one are still downloading. Maybe that is a good sign, kind of a "lets take the covers off and see what happens"

My one question, which I realize may be a difficult one to answer, is on the group gameplay. Looking at a game like WoW, in which it is easy to solo to the max level solo, or a game like Lord of the Rings Online where you really do need to group quite a bit to do quests, I'm wondering where Conan falls.

Basically, trying to figure out if I want to try the Priest or Guardian class, or go loldps.

From my limited experience, barring few specific content, you don't need to group, ever. Duo is ok though, it makes things faster. So it'd fall under wow, if that. Hell I think wow pre2.3 might have had more group content, but that's hard to say really.

so for those of you who've d/l it from fileplanet, have you had success patching the game once it was installed? Mine keeps giving me an error

Hi

It means that the patch is not ready yet.

As soon as the patch is ready you will be able to download. This may be very close to Open Beta day, or on the same day.

So no worries. Just relax, sit back and wait for Hyboria to open its doors to you on Open Beta day.

My knowledge on this game is somewhat lacking. I am looking for a new game as WoW has gotten a little stale for me. I dont feel like reading the previous 70 pages.

Do they plan on having large end game raids killing dragons and shit or will it be mostly pvp based for the end game?

They've said there is going to be large end game raiding component.

There's supposed to be a PVP leveling system. In one of the developer videos it showed someone leveling up doing one of the CTF/TDM style games, but I would assume you get the levels/points while doing siege battles, etc, as well.
