Money plays into it somewhere, but I'm sure Funcom is more interested in Fileplanet plugging AoC as much as humanly possible. Media exposure is key.

I'd imagine it's a straight trade. Fileplanet is getting a ton of money from people subbing up and Funcom gets free distribution.

Just got told by someone in both betas that was high on AoC and down on WAR that they have flipflopped completely. WAR seems to be shaping up nicely and AoC appears to be heading for a terrible launch.

Hmm... this is a tough call, but probably not simply because this is still part of the Fires of Heaven website, and we had to come to an agreement that a guild's website must be provided as part of confirmation that the guild is actually legitimate and will be putting the keys to use rather than throwing them up on Ebay or whatever.

His biggest gripe seems to be he loves exploring and aoc doesnt offer much of it.. but then again neither did wow..
