But my level 19 hunter/rogue is COMPLETELY balanced in the 19 wsg bracket!!!!

Speaking of feats and whatnot...

There are also skill points which you can put into general abilities such as climbing, mountaineering, bandaging, mana regen, etc etc. A whole laundry list from what I saw. You seem to gain a batch of them every time you level, and I seemed to get additional points randomly as well (not sure if they're at set intervals during a level, part of a quest reward, or just plain random).

A couple of features I noticed while leveling: You get rewarded for chain kills. If you kill a mob, then kill another in quick succession, it gives you a fairly significant % boost to your exp gain, which stacks if you get a third, and a fourth, and so on, as long as you can keep chaining them. There were also 'tokens' on my exp bar that seemed to function kind of like rested exp. Some were saying that you get them from killing enemies that were higher level than you, and you can use them to boost your exp gain. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Rumor is that in the later levels there are large zones that take 30+ minutes to get from one side to the next. Not sure if that is true or not but it would give me some satisfaction. But I think that is a big deal killer for a lot of MMORPG players and why many won't even place AoC in the MMORPG genre.
^^^ This. Truly a major game breaker (at least for some of us old fashioned people) in an MMORPG if it's true.

The invisible walls and linear railroading is going to irritate people for sure. There isn't much room to explore, no chance to find a hidden nook or cranny that may have some mobs or a quest or etc. Just an invisible wall that pushes you back to the 'content'.

I'm sort of indifferent, but I talk to others that hate it. I heard FC was removing a few invisible walls to give the feeling of exploration but the content hasn't been placed with it in mind.

Ya but how frequently do you change zones and see another loading screen? Playing through the little newbie isle thing yesterday the beach seemed to flow pretty well into the jungle. The only time I saw a loading screen was when I hit the city. I can deal with that.

Are most zones like that one? Hard to make any kind of reliable judgement with just one area.

This will make the casual <-> hardcore gamer line extremely distant. EQ'ish even. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining for welfare epics and all that crap I think getting bonuses for chain killing would be fun and a neat way to slightly reduce the bordeom that is faction grinding or exp grinding or grinding in general.

This reminds me of that stone altar/statue between Astranaar and Felwood. Damn they hid that thing good. So yeah, I can definitely see this situation as a pitfall.

Getting flashbacks of another game, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Something about "brown"...

Biggest gripe of mine pvp wise is the melee special attacks. You can move while doing the attack sequence, but the special attack itself is completely flat-footed. So, people just move away from you if they see you starting a special move. Also makes killing runners/kiters a chore.

I hit 25 FPS on the low end in the lobbies. Fighting in mini games I went between 25 and 60ish FPS depending on what was going on. I had a couple CTD, the yellow texture thing from AA, but changing the video settings from high to med then back to high again fixed it and I didn't have to restart the client.

For me, the game ran fantastic, there wasn't a single point where I felt like the client was running poorly or unacceptable.

What Grumpy said it may be your motherboard slowing down your card. What chipset you have? If its a PCI-express card/motherboard that shouldn't be the problem, AM2 or better.

ouch that is going to be rough. They will prolly extend the range of special attacks or make it so in combat you move slow as fuck.

As long as you activated the move/combo when the enemy is in range, it would land regardless of where they move to (so if it's a slow combo that does 3 hits they'll all hit as long as you start it with them in range). Looks bad but at least it works, otherwise melee would be in a bad way.

Just make sure it's a stun/snare/whatever if they're running so you can keep them where you want them.
