| I think you used every cliche possible in one post. Congrats. "free trial" "never made it past level X" "mad cuz its not like WoW" "dont understand being a tester" Did I miss any? And are you claiming that city building and sieges are in beta right now and it is fully playable? And the end game is in and decently fleshed out for launch?

| Yea, the siege pvp stuff not being in yet still has me on the fence big time. Like I said, I'm not committing to this game and taking the wait and see approach. I'm still turned off by the EQ2 style zoning.

+3 Internets | I was not going to buy it until after release(If at all) already, but not having seige in would certainly have detered me from buying it if I had been wanting it at release. WoW/EQ2/VG pretty much have PvE handled for a while. The only reason I would consider this game would be for the PvP elements. Since they do not have one of the major elements touted I honestly do not see a bright release for this game. Hopefully I am wrong, because it would be nice to see another good game on the market. |

Of course the end game isn't decently fleshed out. However, compared to DAOC where none of the 40+ dungeons were fleshed out, or EQ and it's plethora of problems *Hi Necro with the uber pet camping Lower Guk*, it is actually a very good beta with a lot of good changes. How the game will be at launch is anyones guess, but the dev beta and testing process has been one of the better ones. | |

Anyway, city building and sieges are both in beta. As far as how hard they're being tested, I'm not sure. Look at WoW, it had no PvP system and ONE end game dungeon at launch. Did pretty well huh? If they can handle a good launch, and continue to expand, there won't be anything wrong with the game. Launch will tell all. AO was a great game with a horrid launch. Vanguard was never a great game, even before it launched.

+1 Internets | Damn. You guys do realise you just smacked jayrebb* right into left field with those posts, right? LOL *(cue incessant irrelevant rantings about Savvis, meaningless fluff items causing dire game breaking imbalances, etc., etc....) Enough pointlessness. Start spilling

| I think you're going to have to wait until this weekend to get any non-NDA breaking comments. I think it shows a bit of the strength of the game that so many are unwilling to chance losing their beta by breaking the NDA. |

| For all the people saying the game is great but its still in beta and fixes are coming.. Have you seen the vanguard threads? I'm not trying to be an asshole I just want you to remember were we are all coming from. There were people just as vehement as you then to who swore up down and left and right. There were also people like the naysayers who said bad things. Take look at the vanguard beta thread and the resemblance is striking. In fact you could almost replace all instances of Vanguard with AoC and just keep going... Almost. I don't know if FoH had one but is there a WoW beta or open beta thread? I wonder how that compares with vanguard and AoC.

| Except the only real info I see coming from Jayrebb who is a complete idiot. It's like taking Dumar's advice on whether a game is good or not. So call me skeptical. However, I haven't been sold on anything either. |

At a minimum you'll be able to get a lot of feedback in regards to how PVP is doing after this weekend from the many people who will be playing. Here's the info for those curious about this weekend tests: GameSpot:Video Games PC Xbox 360 PS3 Wii PSP DS PS2 PlayStation 2 GameCube GBA PlayStation 3 Quote:

Ill believe it when I see it. Right now, siege pvp isn't going live at launch. wooot another CTF tech test this weekend. Nice. Wait wheres the siege pvp that hasn't even been seen or tested? Stupid comparison to WoW, they had unlimited resources so they could develop the game post-launch no matter what. AoC is out of money. For the morons: WoW budget = unlimited AoC budget = in the red See the difference?
