Given how interested I am in AoC's PVP, this distresses me. Please post something more substantiative about this. Which classes roll groups? (Just don't tell Makata or we'll see him in two months bitching about how his class can't roll groups anymore).

If you're going to talk to the idiot, at least don't quote him.

See Tuco? I been telling you man can't let this continue. Anyways class list

Soldier:

Guardian
Conqueror
Dark Templar

Priest:

Priest of Mitra
Tempest of Set
Bear Shaman

Rogue:

Barbarian
Assassin
Ranger

Mage:

Necromancer
Herald of Xotli
Demonologist

The names are awesome choices I am going for the tempest of set...maybe the bear shaman. My understanding the tempest does damage to heal like the bloodmage in that game that is shunned. Sooo much fun.

The thought that the Barbarian is in the rogue class is equally intriguing due to a barbarian= big ass weapon and little armor for mobility. Guessing Barbarian will have speed buffs haste buffs and some kind of limited stealth that is better then the normal stealth. That is what Conan was, Conan the Barbarian. By default that class should be a badass.

I know I said this in the last thread but it has to be said: Fuck bear shaman that can't turn into a bear and eat faces!

Btw, how did bloodmages heal exactly in the game that shall not be named?

I have hopes for that in the future maybe. But creating a shitload of death animations envoling a bear for just one class I imagine isn't high on the list of things to do.

Someone can probably explain it better than me, but Blood-mages had DoTs and DD spells that would give them "blood points" or something similar, which could be used to enhance heals and other spells. Also, they had transfer hp spells where you drain your own life to heal someone, and then use lifetaps on the mobs.

Yeah thats pretty much it. The blood points went up to 5 at 5 blood points damage and heals would go up by a good %. Certain spells would need 2-5 blood points to cast like our best HoT or our instant cast HUGE DD at the cost of 5 blood points for massive damage.

They also had spells that would do DD to target and heal defense target by that amount +% of blood points. Not recommended to use when target is critical because if the mob resists the DD straight up no healing to your defensive target.

Not to mention our awesome buffs and symbiotes mmm mmm that class had me playing the game way longer then I would have.

I have said it before but the bloodmage is the greatest/coolest class in a MMO ever made.

Agreed, the class kept me in VG longer than I ever wanted. If AoC has something similar i would play it just for that fact.

That sounds impressive, furies in everquest 2 have a self buff that casts an ae everytime they heal, but bloodmages sound lightyears away from that.

Reading the description almost made me want to play the game again, but then I remember playing it.

Yeah if they would just take the classes of VG and put them into EQ2..slow the combat down to something other then spamfest would be the perfect MMO.

Anyways so I am guessing a Demonologist that can summon demons as pets like a neco? If so is the differance cosmetic or what?

Do we know if AoC is still going to be the first 20 levels offline and solo, as they originally planned? Or did that get scrapped like it should have?

Woah really? I was looking forward to an awesome 20 levels of solo goodness to get to know my class. Ofcourse I was also looking forward to bar brawls...of course I was also looking forward to world PVP and siege weapons *coughwowcoughcough*..anyways that sucks balls but night time quests also sound cool.
