| Video card is definitely holding you back. I have the same CPU/RAM and an 8800GT. Granted my parts are slightly OC'd. E6750@3.2GHz and the card is mildly OC'd as well.. and I run full high 1680x1050 w/ 2x AA and get 30+ FPS.

| vid card is definitely a bottleneck, I have a 2.3ghz c2d w/ 3 gigs of ram and a 8800gt and get 45-60fps in medium in windowed mode, slightly higher in fullscreen. 8800GTs are <$150 on sale nowadays, i think frys is having their anniversary sale this weekend too and has some great vid card deals. |

| Would it be better for me to buy a 9600GT? I haven't kept up with Nvidia products in a long time so not sure which cards are the best. Only looking to spend like $150-200 and looking for the best bang for the buck. Any suggestions are cool (nvidia).

+3 Internets | I have a feeling that saying is fucking old and god damn retarded and anyone that uses it anymore is a douche. And I am also amazed at how well the game is playing so far. They definitely jacked up the texture quality from what I saw in open beta. Everything looks more detailed. |

It has been a great release, for sure. I had the lowest ping (<70ms) I've *EVER* had to anyplace in the world - or any online game - last night, and that's saying something for living way out in the boonies here. And my FPS was 40-200 all night as well. FunCom definitely has their shit together. The game is huge fun, especially if you actually read the quest text. This is a bit hard on a PvP server, of course, since all of the ganker children will gleefully kill you as you stand there locked in "text reading" mode so you might want to play on a PvE server for a while first, then go PvP if that's your style. Even the RP-PvP server (Cimmeria - which some fucking moron at FunCom failed to label as "RP" in Server Selection yesterday) is just packed with ganker kiddies. Luckily, I was usually with guild groups, but once I got out into 20+ lands, I was solo. It's a damn good thing Tempest of Set is pretty good at counter-ganking or I'd have gotten zero XP after level 20 last night. I have special giggles for all the jerkoff ganker kids playing Rangers, since they have basically zero chance at killing a ToS that's paying attention (face, stun, run out of range, heal up, get to nuke range - out of bow range -, nuke, nuke, nuke, skull-fuck newb). OOC channel is pure gold on the RP-PvP server, as you can imagine. Lots of PvP idiots didn't know it was an RP server, and the conflict with the hardcore RP'ers is purely wonderful entertainment. | |

| I'm having a hard time deciding between Tempest of Set, Herald of Xotli, Bear Shaman, and Priest of Mitra. I think it might be fun to play the healer for once but I may also just stick with pure dps in the herald. I tend to solo alot since my play hours can be a bit erratic with my work schedule. That kind of pushes me away from the pure healers since traditionally they don't solo all that well. That may be different in this game though. If anyone that was in beta for a while and has a feel for these characters can enlighten me on the relative power of these classes and their abilities to solo later in the game that would be great. |

| Duo'd with a conqueror last night as a ToS. We rolled a few even level duos and a trio without a hitch. Soldiers > rogues. Rogues > Healers. Healers > Soldiers. Everyone > Casters. That seems to be the pvp paper rock scissor right now. |
