I've heard guild functions are pretty basic right now. True/False? I can't see for myself until release!

Played for 9.5 hours today. No crashes, no server outages, nothing. Very smooth pre-launch for Funcom. If someone would have said 2 weeks ago that this is how the game would launch, I would have laughed at the thought. They did some crazy miracle last minute patching though. Now it just stands to be seen if the 40+ and 80 content is in or will be in on time.

Fuck smooth release already for an ultimately minor subset of people who are going to be there at launch.

What I want to know is: is the game any fucking fun? So far the only person to comment on the content 1-20 said it was boring. Am I going to be collecting fucking bear pelts and rabbit cum and whatever the fuck else I don't care about all over again for the 100000000000 time? Is there anything substantially interesting about the early content...or no?

i rolled up a female char seems like its still in the game im no perv lol but the idea of it is kinda neat to have to add to the immersion

Well, it IS an MMO. Of course it has the "kill 10 of this" or "take this to so and so" type quests. I find it fun but if you're tired of those MMO conventions then you might not. I still think the combat is enough of a step forward to recommend the game, it's fast and visceral and looks bloody awesome. But thats just this man's opinion.

Played 10+ hours no in game crashes, hitching, lagging or anything negative of any sort, well impressed and it looks amazing.

I still don't know what class to play full time, I did play a PoM, Assassin and Barbarian to 10th level but none really grabbed me by the foreskin, I'll try a few more classes today.

Eh, the (Pre-) release so far went rather smooth, except for some lag issues (10k lag, which is only solvable by quitting) this morning and this afternoon. However I will hold off speaking of a well done release until I am out of the newbie content and get to the real meat of the game.

i made a new guild on closed beta friday and it seemed ok, basically all the guild stuff in WoW - gmotd, various ranks (each has abilities that can be set like invite, kick, promote, etc). I didn't see any guild bank although that may be part of the siege stuff. There was an option to take over a siege town that only the GM can do I think.

Theres also a "looking for members" tool (integrates into the lfg/pvp tool) and you can drop your guild into it as recruiting (or not), people can "app" to your guild with the LFG tool, you can even set it to auto invite anyone who apps (zerg guild ftw lol)

Haven't played EQ2 so not sure what other guild functions you need.

p.s. saw prx in the guild recruit tool, 71 members already!

Sieges being 48v48 instances has pretty much killed that aspect so really it all depends on the PvE endgame. If it's shitty and boring then fuck rolling an alt and I'll shelve the game.

Well the only thing that can ruin this game for me right now is the lack of end game content. The open world PVP itself is pretty fun.

To bad I'm starting to believe Assassins are slightly gimp.

Im running 2.4ghz c2d, 2gb ram, and a 7900 gs and only getting about 20-30fps on medium. Could the video card be the bottleneck here or should I look at something else? I've updated the drivers but nothing still.
