| im glad funcom proved all the naysayers wrong, this is the smoothest mmo release i have ever seen, not even wow was this good with as much load as funcoms servers were under. deathwhisper got absolutely hammered, other than a 3 min login queue, no lag, no loot lag, no bad effects, funcom really out did themselves, wow would never have handled it this well. I thought people were to critical of their ability to polish it for release and i expected a hell of alot worse than this, i never thought that the game i saw when i logged into CB a month ago would play like this for launch. I never thought the deathwhisper thing would work, i figured we would crash it like archimonde. |

| There are a TON of people playing right now, and they're adding in new servers already so it looks like they were prepared. I've seen several "we're adding new servers x, y, z a b c" of each type throughout the day; and it's not just the same message, but actual new servers going up each time with different names etc. Latest one is 2 more PVP and earlier one was like 6 more of various sorts, etc. |

| Oh fuck, FINALLY it's working. To anybody who has the same problem as myself, the problem is Trend Micro antivirus. I was told to just right-click/shut the program off, but you've got to go to the settings and turn off real-time protection to get the patcher to work.

+6 Internets | I just can't believe how much they relieved the memory leak/requirement. Playing through tortage, all of the zones therein, AND into OT and wild lands, with no memory problems... outstanding. |

| Ya so far the pre release seems to be pretty solid, alot of fixes for stability performance happend in the last weak aswell as some class ballance issues seen in the OB. Graphics are defently realy nice more inline with what I would of hoped VG would of been instead of the plasticyness. AoC's has a nice grit factor thats been missing from games since the old days of EQ. |

| I don't think it's too early to say that AOC has been a large success as of the end of day -3. With the dedication and abilities funcom has demonstrated we'll hopefully see what needs polish, polished fairly soon. Honestly, from everything they've said, it's not been blowing smoke up anyone's asses. Content saved for release, check. Multiple builds to add in fixes and debug separately, check. Server stability on launch? WTF? Prepared to expand the number of servers immediately especially specific rule set servers? Check. They've got their shit together. Saying something is a WOW killer is stupid, but I think Funcom, if their success continues, will change a lot of the way things are done in MMORPGS. |
