+8 Internets | Yeah it's pretty balls the extent to which they went to make sure pets never ever get aggro under any circumstance. There even used to be (still is?) an exploit where you would send your pets at an enemy, hide, and the pets would attack and kill the enemy while he sat there and did nothing, so adamant about not attacking these sacred creatures. I don't get it. It's a damned shame the necro doesn't get like a 3-slot (the "better" pets take up more slots) tank or something. The pet they get from fatality'ing something is this giant ice beast that would be a perfect tank. Anyway, the entire solo PVE game is so fast and grindy that it's not a big deal to not have a tank pet tbh.

| you kill something with a combo or a spell and it has a chance to do a fatality... the fatality gives you a buff to your damage and mana/sta regen for most classes i think... necro gets the most powerful fatality prolly cause they get a extra pet for like two minutes and everyone else only gets like a 10 second buff. |

| if a combo kills an enemy theres a chance it'll proc a fatality. high level combos do require 4-6 key smashes to execute, you will pretty much want a nostromo/g15 to do them. many have abilities like knockback/stun in addition to standard cleave damage. One of the reasons why I've never had a play session more than 2 hours in AoC, it just gets a bit exhausting after a while doing the combos (there are some hacks out there that auto execute combos once you start them, based off the visual cues on screen). |

+2 Internets | A fatality is performed by producing a blow from a combo that ends on a weak shield side that would be strong enough to kill the mob. Example: I have an ability called Sweep which once activated requires an upper right attack to execute. I will antagonize the upper left shield or overhead shield of a mob so that they force their shields to that side until their health is at or around 10-15%. Then I will activate Sweep which will hit once for the activation and then once the upper right attack is executed it will go into the fatality animation provided that they have 1 shield or less on the upper right side. Hope that helps. |

| Not only that. Usually, you don't even go full blown combos in PvP. You'll use more instant attack abilities like your knockbacks and snares combined with melee damage. The frostbolt in WoW was the perfect example. Please go back and read what Pyros said. Post #3378

| Pyksel is correct, but it should be added that even if you do kill a mob with a combo on a weak shield side, there's still only a percentage chance (10-20%?) of getting a fatality. This chance can be buffed through gear/skills. |

| Do you even remember the lagfest that shit was? 3fps? 10? Whatever it was , unless you were a caster spamming a nuke, it was unplayable...and if playable it sure as hell it wasnt enjoyable unless you were racking up the kills with aoe/pbaoe.
