It could be dependent on class. I was playing a barbarian and I was getting dominated. Even when I was trying to do the lower quests (me being 9 and quests being ~5-6) I'd typically get swarmed by 5 crocodiles or scorpions or some shit, and with no AE they just whittle me down as I try to do the same to them. Same goes for the Volcano part of the solo quest, all the mobs were in groups of 2-4 and it took a lot of trial and error to get through them.

Anyone able to explain pvp levels?

Are there 80 levels just like pve?

Any details on PvP levels would be nice!

There are 20 pvp levels. Currently they have a system in place where dying makes you lose 3 times as much pvpxp as a kill gives you. It's also currently giving you xp for killing players of any level. It's obviously not properly implemented yet, and we don't know what sort of rewards it will have.

I do know that they will be screwing themselves over if they go with the 3:1 ratio. It's supposed to be a skill rewarding system which would be awesome, but it's just going to be a gank system where everyone will avoid pvp at all costs unless they know they will steamroll the opposition.

Yeah the Best Buy preorder boxes have a little slip in them. It sounds like they have absolutely nothing in them but it's in there.

I'm gonna try the Amazon thing for the lulz (also I'm slow and just realized that's why it's called the amazon bow item). How long does it take for the key to arrive?

I'm 90/10 right now in favor of HoX over DT, but I probably won't be sure until May 17th.

This is also what EQ2 PvP has drifted towards since they introduced PvP servers. Marauding gank sqauds. Trying to solo anywhere = death.

I'm rolling HoX for sure. Really like the whole melee/mage thing plus the shapeshifting just seems cool to me.

Tempest of Set for me. I was torn between DT and barbarian, and then I randomly rolled a ToS to play with a friend who had just gotten into closed beta. Turns out the damned class was made for me pretty much, I love it to death.
