| But you're not seeing a lot of people breaking NDA. People break NDA a tonne in the aforementioned situations, yet all you can get is very vague information plus some grumbling about how the game runs (which most admit is actively being improved very fast). Anyone in the closed beta willing to PM me a comparison of guardian vs. conqueror? Doesn't have to be long. Your sekretz are safe with me. |

| I don't see a lot of love for this game around the interwebs. 5 years of development would mean that they need mass appeal. Personally, I think the game is a lot of fun and innovative but will there be a lot of people playing this one? Will AoC be the "Michael Jackson" in the "Michael Jackson" vs. "Prince" war with Warhammer? |

I cant speak to much about guardian since i never played one but they are by far the best pve tank and they get some nice CC later on. All the soldier classes level a little slow and its a little harder than playing like a demo but they gain momentum as they level so if you get into the 30s and think omg this class blows it gets better and better just about every level after that. I think AOC will have a good launch, especially in europe where funcom is based.. and if its as i think it will be and stablility stays like it is now or gets a little better i think it will slowly start to pull in more people from the wow crowd as they get bored in the next 6 months before wrath.

| dark templar is a heavy tank, prolly the lowest damage class in the game and the most survivable, i dunno if its gonna be that popular. I am thinking HoX, Demo, barb, ToS, bear shaman are gonna be popular because they all level quickly and are strong early on, HoX, demo, PoM are prolly the three 'best' classes right now for solo pwning but PoM is weak and frustrating until the 30s. |

| The New Class Poll Thread - Age of Conan Forums for a general overview of class popularity, but this poll was done before Open Beta so many people have probably revised their opinions by now. And the comments about PoM above are total horse shit. PoMs are the #1 PvE class under 30 (and maybe over, but I haven't passed 29 yet) in my - and many others' - opinions. They kill fast, AE good, heal themselves and others wonderfully, never die, and are just all-around a fun class to play. I don't know what the fuck you're smoking, but you didn't play a PoM to 30. You might try leaving those ADD fingers off the melee buttons and try working out a good spell rotation (and re-spec to get the +mana-when-hit talents). AoC has a great spell/skill queuing system that makes everything flow perfectly once you get the hang of it. |

I bet that class poll is pretty accurate, most people picking up the game are gonna base their choice on what they liked in other games or what they think sounds good, i bet those of us who actually know whats good at high levels are gonna be a minority.
