DT was going to be my class choice until I very randomly played a ToS and was astonished at how perfect that class was for me. DT is very involved, obviously they're not a DPS powerhouse but with frenzy stance on they can hold their own (and apparently frenzy is going to have it's penalty cut in half, which is really nice). They also get a martyrdom spell which hurts them and heals their group and is interesting since it's basically another type of healing they can bring. It's certainly not as powerful as a priest's but with feats they can make it restore stamina and mana. I think, of the three soldier classes, they bring the most to a group in terms of utility. They don't get full plate though so I don't think they'll ever be able to tank as well as a guardian, but the lifetap procs do add up to quite a lot of extra health in each fight over time.

| Is there any sort of force-targeting in PvP? In other words, does taunt work? And is high-end PvP even "intelligible?" I mean, every damn ability in this game seems to either be AE or upgradeable to AE. Even the basic 1-2-3 melee attacks hit multiple targets. Couple this with player collision and it paints a picture of an insane ball of combat where everyone is hitting everyone and you can't tell what the fuck is going on until one side dies. Is this accurate or inaccurate? |

| Can anyone explain the pvp a bit? I've read a little but I'd prefer to hear it straight from the horses mouth with regards to rewards, locations, problems, etc. I love pvp but I'm playing with someone who is leery of it and wants to know more.

+3 Internets | Taunt doesn't work in pvp. And I guess yeah, AE will dominate mass pvp. But I guess it will depend on situations. However the future is grim for rogues in zerg fights, they'll probably die before reaching anything unless they go a very LONG way around. |

I have a quick question I hope someone can answer for me as my google-fu is failing me; I have a friend with an open beta account at my place atm, but I only have the closed beta client installed on my computers, is there a way to access the open beta through a closed beta client? Some config file edit I need to perform? |

| Concerning AE in pvp, yeah, I expect to see a lot of AE'ing deathsquads roaming around, but due to the bursty nature of melee damage in AoC and the non-bursty healing I doubt they will be a problem for coordinated single target bursts. Should be a pretty entertaining powerleveling strategy, though. My biggest concern about pvp and pvp levels is just this bursty melee damage, I expect to see a lot of assassins and HoXes at the top of the pvp level chain as it's pretty easy to drop a single target with cooldown usage. Stalk your prey, unstealth (or stealth attack from behind for a stagger effect if you're a barb/rang/ass) load up your biggest baddest attack, kill, run away, stealth. Repeat until the mini-game match is over and it should be easy to maintain a good K-D ratio. |

| Question I have for AoC, I plan on waiting for the game to be out for a month till I play it to let all the bugs and problems be solved. However, do you think in that short amount of time most of the population will be done with the lower level zones? |

| Assassins get a charge like ability from stealth. But from what I've read, assassins are kinda gimp. However I chalk this up to gear not being there, people who don't know how to set up feats, and basic idiotic nature of some folks. That and people are chugging health pots which I don't think will be in at release, or so the rumor goes. |

| Most of the more hardcore players will be 80 by then. You can do Tortage in a weekend (or one really long day).
