Yeah, I probably should have played with more feats. I just got tired of trying things to find out they were useless or broken or just not implemented. I eventually stuck with just increasing Lightning Damage since at the time all I was doing was casting it over and over and it was effective.

Well I am very happy to now be getting the same smooth performance during the day that I used to only get during the night portions.

Tortage at day time is perfectly smooth now. Very exciting to see they are fixing the issues that were left so quickly.

Put me in the camp that it is basically ready for release.

Performance really is wonky. Late last week my loading times had been getting better and better, with the main problem being that I would load the city and then wait 30 seconds for textures/NPC's to be loaded in, even though I could walk around. Last night and this morning, my load times have been horrible. It took 3-4 minutes to load Tortage last night, and this morning I made a new Bear Shaman and it took at least 4 minutes to load that fucking character creation boat ride bull shit. Performance itself was pretty good, I was running on High and getting respectable FPS. I finish the instance and start loading Tortage, but it was taking way too long so I just ctrl-alt-deleted.

Just curious, anyone else on Vista experiencing a screen lockup of 3-5 mins following the time you hit "play" on the patcher? Specifically, the desktop will not refresh, so that you cannot see any other window, program, etc (task manager and start button continue to work fine during that time though)

Also, I have tried to use the ctrl+~, but apparently that config file is nowhere to be found and the command won't work...

Just in case this thread gets too positive... :P

yup, removing that sucks, as now i am forced to render trees/grass and water.

Are there any "fun" spells for any of the caster classes? Levitation, shape shifting and the like?

One class can transform into a demon for like 30 seconds every 3 minutes. But no, there isn't a lot of 'fluff' or 'fun stuff' that is there just to be there.

There are some cool spells out there. Check out the feat trees. There's a link in this thread somewhere. It'll give ya some interesting things.

Oh I'm so sorry Mr. Fanboy. I was off by 10 seconds. I'm pretty sure that last year it started it as a longer cooldown. I haven't actually played a HoX since then but I was close.. so suck me.

And yes, a ToS may *get* some spells from feats (many of which DO NOT WORK - like your suggested Puppet) but you do not need them. Which is pretty much exactly what I said. By 30 I had 10ish spells. I use 3-4 minus a couple of buffs every hour. Nothing I said was incorrect. Other than being 10 seconds off of course.

I had 58MBs.. it varies from person to person. I've seen it as low as mine to as high as 16GB based on posts in the beta forums.

Only option in simpleconfig is to verify/repair. Is that what ya mean?
