+2 Internets | Btw you get 79 feat points. Every 10levels after 10, you get 2, and there's an additional point somewhere(probably 80) that used to be at 10. So like at 20, you actually have 12points. I agree feat specs might make a difference, but it actually doesn't take a genius to figure out the most efficient specs. It seems to me that contrary to wow, feats are usually skill based, so you only empower the good/useful skills and leave the rest. Also some feats are definitely better than others for pvp and this again is obvious. The wow builds everyone had were not that different really, sometimes a matter of taste(axe vs sword spec on arms wars for example), unless you were a) a fucking tool, b) full pvp spec or full pve spec. The only thing EJ discussions brought were to find out which spec exactly was the highest dps, with difference in the order of less than 5% output on most specs(like impale for fury warriors and such). In AoC though, the trick is finding the feats that actually do not work at all so you don't invest points in it ^^. P.S.: Shitty downtime, wasn't it supposed to be up like 20mins ago? +2 Internets | Just looking at the feat tree for Priest of Mitra (is the general one shared amongst all healers?), it looks like the general tree is going to be specced in deep for PvP healers. Interruption prevention (focus), increases in the burst heal radius and decreased burst heal cooldowns. Will there still be enough points to spec up a proper class tree? |

| One thing about pre-orders: the mounts (rhino, mammoth) are ONLY usable in the PVP border kingdoms, they are not usable in the general land areas. So you don't save any gold by getting one. Getting the cheap ass mount by the time you hit 40 is pretty easy, the faster mounts are way more expensive though (but tbh pretty unnecessary, once you hit level cap the only zones to visit are the PVP ones and the resource ones, and they are small). Hope the patch today implements PVP levels (currently resets to 1 every logout), crafted gear, sieging, PVP gear, raid gear, tweaks the leveling gaps, puts in the DX10 and shader4 client, fixes all the weird gear drops/stats, fixes the instance bugs, fixes the exploits with CTF, fixes the Demon root, and fixes the texture/shader problems. Only got a week to go! |

+2 Internets | And wow was totally a pvp endgame game too. Until they release and people get to actually play sieges and all the crap that's supposed to be endgame, and not only hear their great stories of 300 Q&A testers fighting it out every night when they can't even find out which feats are broken for every class by spending 5mins respecing and testing them out, I'll keep my judgement on how finished this game is. And snugglebear about priests feats, I'm not too sure about the general tree. Interupts, do they even exist? I never get interupted by mobs at least, as long as I put points into concentration, and I don't remember seeing interupt based combo(such as pummel/counterspell stuff in wow). Maybe it works through stuns/knockback, but I somehow heavily doubt that. Also reducing the single target heal cooldown doesn't seem that useful, currently healing seems pretty crappy for pvp, and casting those heals put a 1min immunity on the people. Maybe for group pvp to rotate those heals, but I'm still not sure yet. |
