i think fire is a pretty common resist to get up in most mmos due to many sources of fire damage both pve/pvp. maybe it's my ocd talking but as a lover of pvp this does worry me. | |

| Falkensyn said he can't post yet, but he sent me this message about HoXes: Disclaimer: I have yet to test PvP at 80 for various reasons, but all of the following seems to apply then as well according to the beta forums. I'm not cleared to post, but I've played a HoX for most of closed beta, and it's really a beast at higher levels. Demon form is more of an emergency button than a regular tool though, useful for larger pulls or for a quick damage burst against a player/mob. The class is basically a burst machine, but an unreliable one at that. The combos (especially Pillar of Flame and Molten Steel Slash - the main high-damage ones) seem to have a large damage range, as they can hit for something like x-3x damage depending on a few variables (demon form, Touch of Hell buff). The two aforementioned combos have quite a bit of "casting" time, in the range of 2-3 secs, and they require a stationary target. Hellfire breath is your bread and butter spell, with a moderate mana cost, quite a large area of effect, and 0.3 secs cast time with the appropriate feats. You use this in between combos, rarely using regular attacks. For PvP I usually cast demon form, charge with Hellstep, instantly hit Word of Command (an instant cast AE root with 1min cd) and start Pillar of Flame, followed by Hellfire breath, and if the target is still in range/alive, Molten Steel Slash - Hellfire again. Hellfire has a short cd (3 secs I think? I'm not sure, it's been a while since I had the chance to play due to RL constraints) The Herald is by far my favorite class atm, although its random nature may not appeal to everyone. It's a bit of a glass cannon, and your chance at winning a fight melts down to you being able to keep your target in melee range, as both the root and the charge has a minute-long cooldown. |

| People should also realize that many of the stories about classes are people without the best feat builds. You can make the PoM a pure porcupine build if you spec it right. Just think of all the shitty builds in WOW and how they gimp your character. |

| I figured that was a issue as well. We will see a ton of build discussion in the near future though I am sure. There seems to be alot to put points into so I am kind of looking forward to experimenting a bit. |

| It goes a lot faster once you realize which quests suck ass and have you running and zoning back and forth a dozen times. That stupid Xantia's skull quest is retarded. It's best to just Hoover. Run around town and suck up all the quests you can possibly get and run around whacking things until you complete a bunch.
