Guessing it still needs time, so I wouldn't be shocked if they delay from May. And to be honest, I hope they do delay.

1-3, when you do combos one of the 1-3 buttons will be the follow up combo keys (so for example you'll press 6 to initiate a combo, then follow up with 2,3,2 to execute it). you can change these keys to whatever you want btw.

It sounds all exciting in theory but imo it gets boring after a while. Whee, instead of mashing fireball,fireball,fireball in wow you are mashing 4,1,3,2,1,4,3,1,2,4,1, blah blah. It is fun to be so "tactical" if you play in short little 1-2 hour sessions, but marathon sessions will be overkill for most people I think. it also queues up your actions so if your a button smasher like me sometimes you get frustrated when its a key or two behind. There are still bugs too in combat, like your character just standing around doing nothing while you frantically mash buttons screaming at the screen, and suddenly you warp around and start doing queued up stuff a few seconds later (sometimes, sometimes you just stand there for a while too).

There are still though lots of the "little" polish issues. My main annoying ones are loot. Mobs drop bags/chests/etc on the ground which you must double click or right click to open, wait a second for it to open, then click take all to loot. Shift-double click is kind of auto loot, but its undocumented and its more annoying than just right/double click. Whats worse is that right clicking on your character brings up a menu with just the option Leave Group (obviously in a group more options), so almost everyone ends up screaming at the screen when you accidently bring up the menu for the 50th time while soloing. Wow of course didn't have auto loot for 2 years but still its something you get used to in MMOs now.

There's really no environment interactivity either, step on a fire no big deal, can't really pick up anything, can't smash the environment, etc.

My take on what will happen.

EQ2 all over again. HUGE player base at launch they will go down drasticaly after the second month. 8 Months and 4 major patches later its polished and more return but not enough to be called a success.

I wish this wasn't so but thats what it is looking like.

Unreleased Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures somehow topped charts, says X-Play - MMORPG News - QJ.NET That is why.

I want to find the designers who keep thinking having to right-click on corpses to loot shit is fun, and brutally murder them in front of their children.

Yeah, I predict a lot of disappointment. It's got some great ideas, and many of them are half implemented but balance is a nightmare, bugs are rampant and it needs 3 more coats of polish past the 1-20 area (not to mention a ton of content).

It needs to just bake a lot longer but I don't think they can afford to delay it again.

Yeah I don't mind paying for beta. I preordered it as mentioned before. With every bug that pisses me off I can usualy find one that makes my leveling easier. Exploits are awesome and only suck if they roll you back (looking at you Asherons Call 2, fuckers) anyways yeah I see the good in the bad. Considering how much these guys are thinking outside the box I want to support it.

Yes every MMO needs to implement the Tabula Rasa corpse loot. Set a filter and it auto loots when you run over the corpse. Diablo 3 needs to do this also...

Same here. I am willing to look past all the bugs to support a game that has a different vision and wants to try something new. I know they will end up by polishing it and i won't mind helping them out in the process.

But if the devs won't listen to their player base...then that will be a different story.

To coin a phrase "The mob is Fickle" Listening to a player base is double edged because everyone has an opinion and rarely does anyone post something that is well thought out and for the better of the game. I post bugs I find and all that but rarely offer a suggestion because I know nothing when it comes down to it.

Granted when you completely ignore the plees of thousands to fix something that is just bad(SONY!)

Same shit was said about another recent monumental flop.

Personally I won't pay for potential until people start paying me for the cure for cancer, the solution to world hunger, an alternate fuel source and the secrets of time travel I could potentially discover after slipping in the bathroom and hitting my head

Watching assassins slowly improve makes me at least a little happy with the dev team and also seeing them openly admit to certain mechanics and classes still not being tweaked correctly helps this as well.
