Damn that looks nice...

I seem to be getting a lot of insider info lately praising the game but acknowledging at the same time that it needs a good amount of polish as well.

Hope they can do as much as possible in the next two months.

What about casters? Do they get anything cool, or is it the same 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 we've been doing since EQ?

Dunsany might disagree with you there, but Howard was brilliant. The Conan and Solomon Kane stuff especially. I mean he had his flaws, and some of his prose is.. well, pretty purple, and he dwelled pretty fervently on the same general theme, but in spite of all that, his work was delightfully evocative, and usually quite a pleasure to read, even with the eye-rolling moments.

One of the buzzwords was "spell weaving" which I guess was some way of customizing your spells/doing combos with other casters but, along with the bar brawls and other misc. features it seems it may have been forgotten. Not sure.

Not really forgotten, but they have said it is still in internal testing, hopefully we see it come out soon though.

Have they narrowed down the system specs for this game yet?

A certain other game went for "Between WoW and EQ2" and has apparently failed miserably at that. Curious what AoC is aiming for in terms of system reqs

The all important question still remains though... is the game actually half-way decent now or does it still suck ass and isn't ready for a May launch?
