Lastly, the X1950Pro is garbage at this point in time (abliet it plays WoW perfectly). That's the card I have currently AND if I decide to pick up Conan in late May I fully intend on buying a new video card for it.

Holy crap, dude. The 7900 was released over TWO years ago. Sorry, but any card that old is indeed crap. Sure, Conan should be playable with such cards but I fully expect them to be running on pretty low settings.

However, my point was is having a fucking quad core processor paired up with such a gimp card is laughable.

Way to round up, smarty pants. 8800GTX was released in November of 2006 which is over a year ago AND was a fucking new design rather than a refresh like the 79xx series.

thats why a number of us kept saying make sure you get into the AOC open beta if you are gonna buy the game - a PC 99% identical to yours can run the game perfectly fine, but it will run like shit on yours. Its not a big suprise - the tiniest thing like a driver version, virus scanner, screen resolution, flux capacitor, etc could mean the difference between 60fps and 1fps. Thats always the reason why game devs infinitely prefer working on console games rather than PC games, and why usually most PC games can spend months on mostly frozen code (at least engine code) ensuring compatibility with thousands of configs.

Still don't really understand AoC endgame - seems very itemization driven right now, items with better stats do heavily influence how much ass kicking you can do in PVP, there are no "pure" PVP stats (like resilience in TBC), and there is no easy way to level up another character if you decide your class sucks after weeks of getting to 80 (hi2u paladins in wow). We also don't know how the "PVP gear" is going to work - will it be only equippable if you are the right PVP level, or do you only need the level to buy it? Basically all the shit that WoWs gone through the 2 years will be repeated in AoC, from world PVP to BGs to high warlord grind to banking points to honor calculations (PVP xp) to AV tuning (border kingdoms) etc etc etc. Like I said before, if you haven't played a MMO at all in the past 1-2 years AoC is gonna rock, but if you are burned out on WoW/EQ2/LOTRo and hope AoC is gonna make you love MMOs again, I'm not really sure about that...

Yeah, in CB, no loading issue. Only framerate issue is a several second pause every now and then for mysterious reasons. (no HD thrashing, no framerate dip, nothing.. the game just stops)

I also find combat awkward as hell and I fatfinger constantly because you can't fucking rebind wasd, which is the most retarded goddamn thing ever because you have to keep moving your hand from 123 to wasd to move/fight. Is there some sort of "non idiot mode" toggle that lets you bind your keys however you want? I can't say I'm in love with the "actiony" combat.

There are five buttons at the top middle of your screen, the first brings up your portrait and bugs, one brings up your talent tree ("feats"), and one brings up your character skills (right side) with +/- arrows next to bandage, climb, stealth, and one or two more (forget). Put at least 40 into climb and 40 into stealth and you'll be set for a while. Note that the number at the top above the skill points is your total available, it does not go down as you allocate skill points so you need notepad or a calculator to figure out how much you have left (lol)

Oh, and before anyone asks, you can respec feats (talent tree, the key to bring it up is N just like wow , just go to a guy standing below the really tall ladder in tortage and he will let you respec for 0t right now. Probably be a cost when game launches, although the button to respec for free used to be right in the talent window up until last patch.

You missed some information I guess. As far as I remember PvP items have stats that only work in PvP like +dmg vs other players. A dev said that your uber raid gear will still be good for pvp, but a player with gear customized towards pvp will have an advantage.
Most of your assumptions are plain out wrong as long as the Devs were not lying.
World PvP without Factions will be different to everything WoW had on PvP servers - common sense! There are no hard-coded factions.
We do not know how BGs will work out in the end; but the pvp minigames are not rewarding if you do not win. You actually lose PvP experience when you die. Thats risk-vs-reward back in! Rejoice! No losing or afking and still getting rewarded. No Rank 14 Grind without being good. You cannot bank pvp experience; its no honor. It is like a second experience bar and dying means you lose far more than you gain by killing people. Not to mention that you cannot be de-leveled.
Border Kingdoms cannot be compared to AV (that would be Warhammer), as it is not RvR zerg without death penalty with lots of NPCs running around inbetween.

And that said, I am just playing AoC because my guild is. I would have prefered not playing it. I just think you shouldnt say false things like that if you have no information and do not try to actually get some.
