I'd lay down a good chunk of change to have the ability to channel all my current character's experience into another character on the same account, even at a downgrade.

For instance, if I had a level 80 wizard with 1500aa, to be able to pay like 75 bucks and delevel that guy to 1, but funnel 75%, or some arbitrary number, of that character's lifetime xp into a new warrior, and end up with a level 80 warrior with like 1000aa to distribute, and take off from there.

That would be interesting, a game where you collect "general" experience on your account and can apply it towards a certain skill path for your character's job(s), then you can respec those paths at some sort of cost/cooldown.

The idea that a character can persist over years of game time while either keeping or changing their occupation is something I wish we'd see in more than just in FFXI. I know I was attached to all "memory" things my Priest had in WoW, such as rare trinkets, old gear, and certain factions that an alt just wouldn't bother pursuing.

The AA change shows in the notes, the reduced exp 50-75 does not though.. not that i'm complaining, the AA change is still great

- Alternate Advancement experience has been accelerated significantly for those with fewer AAs spent and will scale back down to the normal rate as more AAs are earned.

Doh, stupid me, for some reason I thought they'd actually put this in the AA section - what was I thinking?
