| You say tomato I say tomoto. At this point, we're basically saying the same thing. Sorry I missed that part you quoted yourself there. Damage with "neglecting tasks" is pretty much dps. I still prefer dps because it can wrap it up in a nice package instead of having to sort through slow-ass WWS to find out if the warlock was casting banish a lot during that fight.

+14 Internets | My least favorite sight in arena is a giant red hunter + his pet heading towards my warlock ;( gg hunter i-win button vs locks! My only hope is that backlash procs enough and he has low enough hp to burn down before I die.

| Of course destro vs hunter is terrible. It's two easy to LoS classes except one has instants and a pet and the other doesn't. BM hunters in arena are a joke, they don't get any more difficult to LoS. BTW what is this no warlocks on single target burn fights nonsense? Our locks top the meters reliably on Brut even if all we get is a shaman who gives hero to melee. As for hunters usually they are behind our token ret pally. No, our hunters are not terrible either it's just we don't stack the groups in their favor. If you stack their groups though they do alright. They scale immensely depending on their group, probably more so than any other class in the game.

+14 Internets | Ya, ya, destruction isnt as WTFoverpowered as some soul link/affliction lock. But it has it's uses, as it is excellent burst damage. No other lock build can take off as many HP as fast in a small burst. Just can't have a melee on me or pillar dancers, though X_X Plus shadowfury is fun ^_^ Works especially well on the blade's edge one if they are all on the bridge.

| Yeah, don't get me wrong destro can be amazing in 5v5 but it takes a very specific team make up putting extra effort in supporting you to do well.

| The Littlest Hobo of MMOs | The one thing WWS confirms for me is the amount of damage locks loose by casting zero damage curses. Sure, we may have the highest DPS in the raid but compare our DPS time to that of a mage or rogue and we loose on average 10-20%. Now, if there was a way for a damage meter to return the extra damage the raid gains from CoE, CoS, and CoR I'd be a happy lock. After all, that is our true damage contribution. |
