![]() Shit. I know shit's bad right now, with all that starving bullshit, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution. Ads for free Shadowbane. | |

+10 Internets | The controls do (did) suck, but I remeber after a couple days I got used to them and it wasn''t a problem... just counter-intuitive at first. I had a char (mage assassin I think) that had a spel that would prevent other players from being able to type any messages (silence?) What a fun spell that was. I had a guildy who I used to silence everytime he'd start chatting.. made for some fun times. |

| Too bad vent takes away from that, but still a very cool spell design indeed. Shadowbane definitely had quite a few innovative things. Hopefully something like Darkfall or SBG's new game can deliver where SB didn't.

+9 Internets | The controls are so bad in this game I just can't play it. I tried I really did but when I click just past an object and the fucker gets stuck on it I get annoyed. That and flying isn't really flying you can't fly off a tower or anything like that you can fly down the steps....yay?

| Flying was also used by mages to protect against melee. Didn't help against me though since I was running a huntress and would drop them like nothing. I played pretty steady for a while until the hassel of running my own city got to me and I quit. Just was too much work and wasn't worth it to me to pay to work.

+3 Internets | Is the Dread server still around? I still have some great memories from back in the day. I was a co-leader of Iniquity known as Ishap. I think I remember some people from TBW and some other guilds used to post here. Anyway, the game was one big exploitation piece for me back then. I literally could be hit by only 1-3 characters on the entire server at my prime, then I could turn around and nuke people for at least 500 damage. I still remember the fall of our city vividly, as well as my subsequent rampage during which I basically took over a city called Moonglow for a few hours because it offended me (that someone would steal a name so blatantly from Ultima). |
