| I seriously doubt this is a hoax or rumor. You don't start rumors like this for the fun of it. It's Sony afterall, and this would be begging for a lawsuit if it weren't true.

| Personally, this makes me very excited. Saying goodbye to SOE is like breaking up with that mediocre girlfriend you dated for too long. The air just tastes more fresh, things look more optimistic. I don't hate SOE, they were just depressing. I love the appeal of MMOs and the mostly amazing future ahead. SOE just weren't cutting it for a top of the line dedicated MMO developer. They were large and well funded yea, but that made it all the more depressing. They've been one of the main players in the US MMO market and they shouldn't have been. With them gone there is a big hole yes, but I'm more excited about what could fill it than what was already there. And would this be the end of the EverQuest IP? The game might live on, I just hope that there are no more Everquest games made. |

Other than that I've never heard anything more about the game though. | |
