[WoW] 2.4/Sunwell Info

http://acaciaizm.com/?p=309
http://acaciaizm.com/?p=310

Edit: Links are hammered, use the one in Draegan's post.

Some interesting stuff in there. Daily quest limit is going to 25, in part due to the fact that opening up the second half of the Sunwell will require a war effort similar to AQ - but instead of cloth turnins, you do quests. The more quests are done, the more quests open up in the camp, etc.

Kael is returning, with a green crystal stuck in his chest, to be the boss of the 5 man instance. I'll be interested in seeing how that turns out.

Also going to be the usual PVP rebalancing. Apparently they want arenas to be more viable for esports as well, so expect changes there as well.

I can see upping the daily limit possibly having interesting effects on the economy, though I'm not sure the vast majority of players actually meet their current daily limit.

Inflation could hurt the more casual players, or people who derive most of their income from cash drops and quest rewards.

I don't need cash at this point of the game really. However I've been lazy in the past 3 weeks and I've done zero dailys. I'm still stuck with about 16k rep until I get my Netherwing Drake.

Great. Do they mention a date(general idea) anywhere in that magazine article? Or is it more "when it's done"?

Just fyi.

Not as far as I know. I don't speak Swedish, though, and I'm not sure if the articles as a whole are on the internet yet. I would assume that if there was a date, it would have been mentioned, though.

Interesting, I think with the esport acceptance thing they are going to be redoing the arenas themselves.

When there are blatant discrepencies in the arenas themselves that lend to certain class domination depending on arena, it kind of makes things jaded.

Thats just what I think anyway.

But yea, the sunwell thing seems interesting, I might actually go check it out and kill some shit with the masses just to catch some storyline.

The 25 Daily limit seems as though they are trying to hand everyone thier epic flyer! Which is fine by me since mah alt needs one as well. Man to those who are farming inclined and have multiple 70's that potentially 500 - 800g per day.

I dunno. I think most people are going to be hard pressed to do all 25 on their main character.

Most casual players aren't going to have the time to spend, and the hardcore... raiders have raids, pvpers have pvp, etc

I can barely do 10, I don't know how people are doing 25.

Also FYI - Heroic Dailies get fucked if you replace anyone. As I was told by a GM, if you replace someone in a heroic daily after the instance has been saved, the group becauses a raid ID because it's assigned to more then 5 people. Since Heroic Daily isn't a raid quest, it's fucked and the quest item won't drop. Then you get locked out of the daily and can't complete it.

So word of advice, don't replace anyone in your heroic daily if you want to do the quest or you end up screwed.

You did something wrong there, I think you turned your group into a raid accidentally. I've replaced plenty of people and had no problem except for when someone decides not to leave the zone after you are all saved. There is no way to kick them.

I have seen people mention this before, but I've never had the problem either.

And I'm glad to see the daily limit going up, though personally now that I don't really need them for rep I find myself not really bothering as much as I thought I would. There's just much better/faster ways to make gold now. The Sunwell stuff sounds really cool though, and it sounds like they learned a bit from what sucked about the AQ events.

25 dailies will take a hell of a time without an epic mount.
