| APW is out... And I'm enjoying myself quite a bit in there. The lag is very good, the zone seems stable, and the dungeon itself is pretty fun. The first four bosses have been pretty easy, although lacking in the dynamic flare WoW raids offer, but still fun. I'm curious what others think...

| i went to the official VG forums and there was a rather large post about the insane amount of ping issues in APW, so much so that it was almost unplayable. was that fixed? peeps were bitching about ping up to 9k (yikes). haven't touched this game since may...seems like it took a long time to come out with just one raid dungeon. any other improvements in the game? |

| The first 4 raid mobs were meant to be easy. Averam told us that they were for the more casual guilds to have fun with. Go try Wavecrasher, he's a bitch. When you hit the central hub in APW and start doing the real bosses, you will get your challenge.

* * * They did a partial patch for the ping today. However, one of the lag issues has nothing to do with SOE. Apparently, a third party program similiar to (but obviously not) Macrquest (actual name got me I don't use third party programs) that sniffs packets to track spawns causes horrendous lag when multiple copies are running in a zone. So last two nights you would have three non-asshat guilds running around in APW or Fumebeso (APW Key mob) spawn ares at around 200-400 ping then suddenly ping would jump to 4k for everyone because a fourth guild running VGpacketsniffer entered the chunk. To anyone and everyone running that program a big fuck you. The mob was unkillable with that kind of lag -- heals could not land in time. You wasted your own guild's time and the time of hundreds of other players. The fucking mob has a static spawn point that it always paths from you just need to sit at the spawn point and wait. You could have gotten your keys in one hour or less if you had turned the fucking program off. So again fuck you.

| The packet sniffer inhales all the packets from the zone. It insuffilates the packets so quickly, that it leaves no new packets for anyone else. Fuck you guys that were sniffing up all the packets in APW. |
