wow ruined warcraft. plain and simple. there is no going back to the lore and atmosphere of 2 or even 3. the integrity of the world is a complete and utter joke, with children's day, cute little pets, and love picnic baskets all around. the whole atmosphere they created with the original games has been completely destroyed to pave the way for your 10m subs. mmo's could be a good template to tell a story, except the wow story is now so convoluted and full of mistakes that there's no coherence to anything. it's a pile of huge mess added onto another pile of aliens and spaceships. stop acting like they couldn't have done it better. please stop acting like popularity somehow means they didn't sell out. blizzard sold out for success. no question. | |

| right? i mean cmon. caring about what i'm actually doing in the world or the events therein makes me a big ol geek, right? apparently anything that's coherent or even just good writing is just nerdy. afk, gonna count my pets. my favorite is the little turtle. so cute! |

| I'm a little late to the argument and Mist troll baiting... I still remember reading the Diablo 2 manual years ago. Amazons are nomads in southern lands. Necromancers come from a swamp that isn't Kurast. Druids come from a forest, which I think is unnamed. The world of Sanctuary is huge and there is enough fleshed out to lend to the imagination. The entire world in Diablo II is not overrun with monsters and demons, just the areas you explore as you follow Diablo's trail across the land. |

+53 Internets | While I'm a little disappointed at the lore crazy train to nowhere that Blizzard has hopped on, the game world is fine. With WoTLK bringing a return to more original warcraft themes hopefully we'll see a rise in the influence of the Royal Apothecary Society which is hands down the best NPC faction in any game anywhere. Look, I know that your vagina is still bleeding sand from the operation Dumar, but did you not notice the rock video ending credits and built in sheep-football game in WC3? Or how about constantly clicking on creatures in WC2 for all the funny voices? I mean, there was a fucking Duran Duran joke in StarCraft. You're talking about a game who's graphics and art have been described at best as cartoony. Let's not get our panties in a bunch yes? They didn't sell out. It's just in the two years we haven't seen a whole lot of new content so the things that stick out the most is all the cutesy pet shit. Just block it out if it enrages you so much. Could they have done better with the story? Yes. But complaining about how childrens week has ruined your precious? Chill the fuck out. |

| I just did a quest to sneak into all 4 horde cities and desecrate their midsummer celebrations, I did this after desecrating 30 smaller celebrations in horde towns all over the world. Many horde where slain. The game is what you make of it, some people love collecting pets... that kinda gnome craziness is not against the warcraft lore. 99.9% of people do not use non combat pets, they go around killing stuff. EDIT: Whoever gave me that comment, yes I find killing Horde fun... and the quest meant I got gold for it. That makes me a fag? : \

+21 Internets | http://diabloii.net/ With this week's speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008 Even if that is true still at least 2 years(and that is hopeful) before we ever get to play it.
