+3 Internets | This seems so incredibly likely that I will gaurentee this as 100 percent factual. No matter what the rumor mill comes up with the gaming community would be so lucky to finally get this incredible IP up and running THE RIGHT WAY. Pony enthusiasts rejoice! |

Anyway, Brad's biggest issue (other than "borrowing" from DikuMUD) was that he believed his own hype and didn't listen to the players (Beta or otherwise). Let's hope Gallenite can avoid those pitfalls.

| The difference between Scott and Brad was that Scott listened to what the players wanted and Brad told them what they wanted. I've never seen anyone as willing to take a look at their own work, say "hey this sucks" and completely tear it down and rebuild it as Scott. That is why EQ2 was saved. He didn't have is ego wrapped up in bad ideas that they had come up with on day one of the game. If an idea didn't pan out, he was always open to trashing it and doing something better. Anyway, it's a big loss to EQ2 and Sony if he's leaving the company completely. |

I'd still buy a tell-all book about what really happened throughout the entire span of the Vanguard debacle.

| I really hate to see Scott go, if that's really the case, but I am glad that he could be possibly going to work on something from the ground up. I do not believe people really give EQ2 the chance that it deserves. Scott and his team (yea i'm sure there is more than Scott to the EQ2 turn around) did a fantastic job and I think that EQ2, overall, is the best MMO with the most to offer. Someone earlier said it best, Scott's MMO approach being gamer first, developer second really reveals itself in the game he's affiliated. All in all, I wish Scott the best of luck no matter if he stays with EQ2 (which I hope) or moves on. It's a big biz right now in the MMO world. People are coming on board everyone month trying to tap into this cash cow. I am afraid however that the MMO pool is becoming diluted due to the flood of competition and the race to get something out before or better than someone else. Only time will tell.... I hope to see some news soon. Take care, Muli |

And it's just weird that in the EQ2 French forum they are introducing a new producer for EQ2 and the American forums are dead silent.
