One thing people don't seem to recognize yet is that a previous success doesn't mean future success.

Vanguard, Tabula Rasa and Hellgate all had big names behind them, and look at what they turned into.

Yeah, but Brad McQuaid and Lord British are crazy batshit bananas.

EDIT: I don't really know what's going on at Flagship, so I can't say they are.

bad launch for Hellgate mostly, and the lack of anything really worth the subscription fee.

difference between aradune and gallenite---gallenite is just a "better" Dev than Brad is. no clue what it is between them but gallenite "gets it" from a gamer point of view and produces solid results.

eq - he did very well
eq2- he did Excellently in getting that game turned into something playable and fun.

hope he does as good in his next job- course i am hoping for him to be incharge of a project from the beginning...

I've always felt EQ was more of an accident than a shimmer of brilliance on Brads part, he tends to describe how "in depth" a game would be rather than how fun it will be.

Basically from my point of view, Scott wants to make great games from a player perspective and Brad wants to SHAPE WOOOOORLDS.

OK dream game for me personally:

Star Wars meets Eve Online meets Scott meets BioWare

I think that would be pretty awesome myself.
