| EQ quests were mysterious and convoluted and in many cases downright non-linear. People had to work at them, figure them out, work together, etc, etc, etc......until the spoiler sites came fully on line and we became more used to having said sites. Then it was simply a matter of printing out a walk through and following instructions. The days of having the difficult puzzles or questionable steps are over because everyone now knows how easy it is to get info. |

of course, after they nerfed it, the wizard epic was pretty easy. still don't understand however why the pre epic staff had +25 save vs. magic and you "upgraded" to +10 save vs magic when you got your epic...

Him and I always had some sort of understanding, I think I avoided his assholeness. I do remember Kilogramm threatening to black list me for stealing a faction hit off King Tormax once though.

| That was used in a sub-quest for an item that was used in the necromancer 1.0 I assume this is what you're talking about: Black Silk Cape and it's used in the quest to create: Cloak of Spiroc Feathers which is for the necro epic, which I guess means the black silk cape wasn't meant as a 'real' piece of equipment.

7th Isle iirc. That wasn't nearly as bad as the Pegasus Cloak, and the drop in Hate. Took Silvas forever, and he was one of the first game-wide.

I remember the obvious change when I went from a casual/friend type guild to one of the top ones on the server. All in all though, I can't say I didn't enjoy being the 'you aren't in my guild? fuck you, then' guy. Rivalry was what really kept me playing as long as I did.

+3 Internets | It would be insanely win if there was a reputation system in place so you know which people where asshats and which were valuable assets to a group. Although, I would have no way to implement/pitch a system like that without it being abused. Maybe if you could only add a positive reputation to someone instead of giving someone negative rep. A whole entire guild could negative rep you just for the sake of doing it. With positive reputation in place, only those outside of your guild are able to rep you and only one person can do it to you per account. But then after reading that idea it sounds kind of dull. Maybe even public notes in-game for player-on-player infractions. Last edited by Tyen; 11-29-2007 at 12:53 PM.. |
