Think it's a good idea.. not everyone is into the bar scene, and I happen to work with a ton of 16 year-olds while going to college so work is also usually out of the question.

Bars and clubs are totally skankier and trashy than online/mmo people. Hell if somebody wants to find a relationship in an mmo I say the more power to them. They've instantly established a common ground that is more than "fuck yeah dude let's get wasted!"

Dating at work? Someone's never heard of a sexual harassment lawsuit. But even if you happen to have a job where that's not an issue, it'll be just fun to continue working there when that relationship fails - when, not if. Even worse an idea than dating someone who plays WoW all day

Online dating is pretty huge now (look how many positive reactions there are in this thread compared to what the reaction would have been 10-15 years ago). This chick in my tech in comm. class did her final project presenting an in-depth look at the bar scene vs. the web scene and I was surprised how popular online dating really is in comparison since I never tried it myself. The final pros and cons of each showed they're both highly flawed in their own ways, but there's hardly a better alternative.

The problem with this datecraft nonsense is the M:F ratio is going to be so wildly out of whack it's probably not going to be worth it.
