If you have access to HGL beta look up the Hellgate IRC channel. There are devs for Mythos in there and someone may hook you up with an invite if you ask nicely.

Funny thing is that a lot of people said this game was a waste when it first appeared...but now there are more than a few people saying that the new Mythos build is more engaging than the HG:L beta. I am shocked that I don't have any beta invites left myself, but when they send more I'll reserve them for FoH folks.

Haven't had a good chance to play it again but I downloaded the new build and it is a lot better so far.

My immediate reaction is this is awesome. I've played a lot of the D2 clones and this is the best one so far. Guess it was up to the actual makers to do it right.

I felt a lot like that when I first got the beta a few months ago and it really tapered off after about level 6, but hopefully the recent changes make it more fun past that point.

That's, um, pretty much how this franchise works if you are using single attack items...

On that note, you can hold shift while attacking to stay stationary and just throw out attacks like in Diablo, so you can just aim in a monster general direction as long as they are in range.

I really like the skill tree system because you don't have to invest any skill points in skills you dont' want. You get a skill and if you feel like it you can invest more into improving that skill.

I'm interested in seeing how this game can actually be profitable.
