[WoW] PvE to PvP transfers are long overdue.

Is world PvP even active on most PvP servers? It may just be because I run around in full s2 with my arena title turned on but I haven't been attacked in months.

i have levelled a few toons on illidan, and between 30 and 40 was possibly the worst time ever levelling due to the incessant gankage in stv, but if you did not want it to happen in the first place, then why roll on a pvp server? conversely, if you wanted to have pvp interaction, then why did you roll on a pve server...just because it says pvp doesnt mean that pve does not go on....for those of you who mentioned lack of world pvp, there are many opportunities for it, the 3 towers in hfp, the 2 towers +gy in zangarmarsh, the towers of auchindoun [although they are really only once every 6 hours], not to mention meeting stones for instances...that gets pretty nasty
moral of the story is that if you did not want the current situation, then why did you start there in the first place?

It'd be nice to go back to my:

- level 70 Troll priest
- level 65 Orc shaman
- level 60 Undead rogue

One day. But, since they are all on a PVE server where the Horde population has completely disintegrated to the point where you can't even find a PUG - at any time of the day, any day of the week - I guess I should just write them off.

It has nothing to do with world PVP or any of that. PVP servers have, for the most part, better PVE progression than most PVE servers. Especially if you're Horde.

Except all the people you see every day there didn't do it either. In fact, no one has since WoW was released. The first people leveling, maybe the second batch..but that's about it.

Blizzard has been pretty adamant that not only are they NOT going to do this, they are NOT considering it, and have NO plans to ever do it.

I will attack any level 70's I see out and about. I'll also kill anyone who fucks with me, even accidently. Sorry to the level 36 NE hunter who autoshot me twice last nite while I was running my buddy's pally to SM. There needs to be a price for stupidity, so I make them pay it.

Oddly enough however, it seems that people get VERY sandy about the even level shit. I can understand if you're annoyed because people are fucking with you leveling, but if you're running around stealing my Khorium and I kill you for it, that's your fucking fault. I'm mining here, don't touch my Khorium. You don't need to call out 6 of your buddies to come track me down.

It's been a long time since I had a good fight, that's for sure.

Personally I think the PVE -> PVP transfer thing is a bandaid fix to a much larger problem. I have no interest in playing on a PVP server ever. I like PVP just fine, but WoW has too many retards and assholes to open myself to it at all times, regardless of whatever people might say. Call me a carebear if you like, but that just makes you one of the many retards and/or assholes that infest the game.

The real problem is that so many PVE servers are fucked. Either they're low pop, or the alliance outnumbers horde to the point where people start to xfer elsewhere and then suddenly the population is something like 7 to 1 (the server I'm currently on, but hopefully for not too much longer). How exactly they are supposed to fix that particular problem when the alliance population on said servers is fairly healthy is beyond me. Opening up PVE->PVP moves certainly wouldn't help matters any, and would more likely fuck over PVE servers even more than some of them already are, so for that reason I'd have to be totally in agreement with Blizzard that it needs to never happen.

Archimonde release day was fucking awesome. I leveled to 50 for some durr reason and them swapped to PvE, thinking that is where the best PvE guilds would locate themselves.

I wish I could get that choice back.

Your explanation of the reasoning behind not allowing PvE characters to transfer to PvP servers is very straight-forward and easy to understand. I thank you for that. I believe that my situation is unique, however, because I personally leveled my character from level 1 to level 70 on Mannoroth US (PvP) starting on February 16, 2007. This can be checked in your databases I am sure. Given the current reasoning, I would truly appreciate a reason for not allowing me to transfer, especially considering my situation. "The experience of leveling a character on a PvP realm" is something that I have done before, and very recently (since BC came out).
