As was already said, there's not a single good reason to not have these transfers.

| Even leveling at launch (Original WoW launch, and later TBC launch) was harmless on my PvP server. Everyone was way to busy leveling their own char to care much about ganking. You had just to avoid places like STV and Hillsbrad at prime time, and quest there later at night. It was even then a complete non issue. There is no world PvP in WoW, because there is little reason for, without looting rights. Of course looting rights would lead to barren PvP servers, but that's another issue. If Blizzard would accept their world PvP delusion they could abandon also other artificial restrictions, like not being allowed to have Alliance and Horde chars on the same PvP server, as well as, and this is perhaps the biggest point, give up on the Horde / Alliance separation altogether. The antagonistic Horde / Alliance faction mindset stems obviously from the Warcraft RTS series, but doesn't fit very well in a MMORPG. It's been given up in arenas already, where everyone can fight anyone, regardless of faction, so it's due time to kill it in it's entirety. But of course, there will be always some whiny idiots on the WoW boards that would complain about Blizzard diverging from their roots and so Blizzard won't probably touch this until subscriber numbers fall dramatically.

| I laughed leveling on a pvp server in the start. I have taken every single fight, no "waving" or "bowing" or shit like that... if it had a red tag, it was going down. But I have never ever been going out of my way to gank some lowbies, that is just .. well.. low. So my first char was one of the first to reach 60 and as a shaman back in the days you could take on whole green groups. It was easy as pie, but when I levelled an alt, the world changed and the "ganking squads" ruled STV. I would love to see whole zones at war, horde forcing all alliance out of STV, make them grind/quest in other zones. But the reality was totally different: We had a 4 or 5:1 ratio and whereever you went, alliance was already there ... in masses. Even they played totally retarded, it was only a matter of time till they wore you down... IF YOU CHOSE TO FIGHT. But then again, you could always *wave* to them and you were like their buddy, except the lvl 60 idiots with shrunken penisses which chose to gank lowbies 24/7. A great game needs the following: - non- instanced Dungeons or areas with great loot or materials to farm, so there is a purpose to own this area - even numbers, only allow horde/alliance on this server when the ratio is pretty much balanced, I dont care if the other team has 50-70% more members, but 300-500% is plain retarded. - heavy death penalties or loot enemies or make some mechanism that forbids the defeated enemy to come back after 40 seconds and attack again (I would love a loot and scoot like in Everquest, enforce the player to leave the zone after he got killed)

| Just make it so you can transfer if you have a 70 already on the pvp server, won't kill off populations and I won't have to level twinks to 60, everyone wins.

and people go so much out of their way to gank you, you really wonder how sad their life must be. had a 70 pala chasing my 35 char or something for maybe a minute or 2, before i finally arrived at where i wanted to be and gave him the übersatisfaction of killing me. i mean..wtf is their deal. really.

As a side note, when I was leveling alts I never had many issues with people ganking me. It happened every now and then, but most of the time I could avoid fighting if I wanted to, and if high levels were around wasting their time and mine, I'd just switch zones since for most levels you have more than one zone you can level in.

We all know you play 12 hours a day due to your own admission of being a fucking lame ass, so you get ganked every couple of hours? Fuck, must be rough. Besides, we're all pretty sure you're gonna be on the other end of the gank train as soon as you hit a 70 and you know it. You've got a small dick and no self esteem and that's why you're gonna be one of those queers sitting in Hillsbrad all day long.

I have almost 3 years invested in my main character, I have all kinds of rare recipes, faction achievements and other things. So I am supposed to chuck all that away so I can level a new character? This is the problem with WoW and Blizzard is adding fuel to the fire by making it easier to level - They WANT you to gain replayability and longevity by replaying and releveling more characters... hero classes, etc. That's their plan. There is ZERO depth for those that like to play the game for what an RPG was originally intended for: advancing your character in as many ways as possible over time. As far as I am concerned they are one step away from just offering pre-made max level characters, and they may as well just get it over with.

+2 Internets | You seem to have missed the part where you transfer your current character. What's so bad about spending a day or 2 leveling in the same environment as everyone else on the server so they can't say "you haven't been through what we have." |

| Currently what I have done is level an alt on a low pop PvP server and transfer it to the hi pop realm of my choice completely bypassing any PvP battles. Yeah it's sad, but I don't like getting ganked by 70s all day. |

| They just need to merge servers. And take off stupid transfer restrictions. WoW is still growing, sure. But they just keep adding more servers, and more servers, and so on - but plenty of servers are ghost towns. For whatever reason, people left them, continue to leave them, etc, much faster than any new people are coming in. PvP servers aren't crammed together in leveling zones anymore. Back at launch, I was fighting people while leveling just as much as I was actually EXPing. Now, if I get in a fight with a similar level person more than once or twice an hour, it's a rare occurence. Ganked by a 70 while leveling? Happens once or twice a day, max.
