Well I'm not going to change your mind, but the game is and always has been a PVE focused game regardless of what they planned. If you want a PVP game you're probably not playing WOW and WOW alone.

WoW pvp wasn't that bad when it first came out. I have some very fond memories of world pvp on Stormreaver. Hell we even had guilds leave the server due to being prevented from getting to raid zones haha.

Very hit and miss but some of the hits are worth trawling through the misses. The comic writer beta tested and still plays Darkfall, she is in one of the main pk guilds I believe.

I'm almost certainly never going to play Darkfall myself but just from reading this thread now and then I could tell the Eurogamer review in question had some nonsense in it.

I give it a 6 based on the fact that the game is pretty fun to play. It has a lot of the elements I crave in an MMO to be truthful. I was a BIG UO player back in the day and still fiddle around with it on free shards from time to time. I'm not playing Darkfall at the moment though, pretty much due to the fact that they slammed some pretty heavy time consuming hardcore crap into it.

It plays pretty dang well, you can't really deny that. There are issues with it, but on the whole, it handles itself.

I can deny it playing well, considering every video I have seen is multiple people sliding around trying desperately to hit each other with melee weapons in a game with awful hit detection

I never really had a problem hitting people or with the animations to be honest with you. I played for a few weeks and then stopped because I'm getting ready to move and start a new job and I don't have a lot of time to pour into the game.
