You are missing my point: Even as a melee you need to go to your bank. Because your newbie gear is ... well ... NEWBIE gear.

Maybe they even plan adjusting the system to match UOs system even more: Starting gear based on a basic skill or "class" selection. (If I remember right you could pick archtypes in uo, like adventurer, wizard, fighter at character creation or customize by picking 2-3 skills that had an increased starting value).

Btw... DF Forum is down for quite some time. As I experience connection problems it could also be me. But if they really shut down the forum I wonder if it was done in order to upgrade it / wipe it / bringt the new forum and homepage online or if it is Funcom style: to make the unhappy fans shut up.

Forums down, site itself won't get past like 40%. I don't understand how if this is a big day for them that no previous instructions on getting client were listed. Or really any other parameters regarding who, what, when, where, why.

Really seems unprofessional and quite bizarre.

Here is a little thing for all you FAWNBOIS to enjoy while waiting for the fake DOS to clear....BTW the servers traceroute with no problem and are virtual anyway so I don't buy the DOS crap. Heard the same crap from Farceland and NPCube about DnL....turned out to be a total lie like this will be.

I agree that half of this thread is complete garbage, but please don't rickshaw this shit (even though I called for it around page 20 or so), I already have bookmarks in place and this thread is where I go to make DF arguments/get news so again: please ... don't rickshaw this piece until the game is either released and is actually vapor, or the year is 2010 -- no matter what gnomad spouts.
